Good guys’ guns never run out of bullets, but bad guys’ guns always do.

Or, the bad guys couldn’t hit the hero while using their lever action Winchesters.

But the hero could return fire and hit the bad guys hiding behind boulders with his Colt pistol.

Old Superman shows -

for some reason, the bad guys thought throwing the empty gun at Superman would hurt him after all the bullets bounced off of him.

And why did he expose his chest to the bullets
but duck when the gun was thrown?

Good guys’ guns never run out of bullets, but bad guys’ guns always do.

And when the bad guy's gun is empty, he throws it- at SUPERMAN!

“Good guys’ guns never run out of bullets, but bad guys’ guns always do.”

Encore Westerns channel recently ran a clip from the John Wayne movie “The Sons of Katie Elder” where Duke fires 14 rounds out of his trusty six shooter without reloading. Their caption was “Hell of a gun.”

And I love how “The Rifleman” can fire 12 rounds from his rifle, reach in his pocket, pull out ONE bullet, shove it in the rifle and be good to go.
