Swedens weather was much chillier than average last month, with temperatures edging above 20C on just three days in Skåne in the south of the country. Kristianstad recorded a high of 21.4C, its lowest peak temperature in May since 1962.algore's fault..

When you live where there is 6 to 7 months of winter and darkness, there is nothing better than 22 hours of daylight and the joys of summer fruit and sort of warm weather. They will have to settle for Apples and Lingon berries I suppose.

I was going to research the story myself by visiting various strawberry farms in Sweden. I wanted an experienced broadcaster to accompany me so I said “Let me take Hugh Downs, cause I’m going to strawberry fields.”
