Its on! Iron Maiden revealed earlier this year that they were holding off on releasing a new album while Bruce Dickinson dealt with a cancerous tumor. But Dickinson has received treatment and got the all clear from doctors, and now fans can get ready for Maidens new album, The Book of Souls, coming on Sept. 4.

It is good to see them still going after all these years.
Good to hear.
Yeah, them and Motorhead have been around for 40 years now. I won’t need to hear a song before preordering it. I know it’s going to be an incredible piece of work.
Most of Iron Maiden songs teach a lesson in history, philosophy, religion or culture.
They never sing about fornicating while holding $100 dollar bills.
I will buy this album as soon as it’s available.
I want to hear a sample or single first. The older metal bands get especially slow in years of hiatus, the sound that comes out isn’t up to expectations. Then again, I heard the new AC/DC stuff, they haven’t slowed down a bit.
Scream for me Scranton!
Up the Irons.
I close my eyes, and think of home,
Another city goes by, in the night,
Ain’t it funny how it is, you never miss it til it’s gone away,
And my heart is lying there and will be til my dying day
Wasted Years - one of my favorite Iron Maiden songs.

This started the encore. They opened the show with Moonchild.
Cool! It’s been years since I’ve seen them live, but I’ve watched that En Vivo live concert several times on cable. I’m ready to drag my bones to a show! Irons up baby!!
En Vivo! is the most energetic performance I’ve seen recorded of them. I don’t own, as I already have quite a bit of their live releases, along with Eddie’s Archives and some albums on vinyl, yet I was totally blown away watching it on YouTube.
Also, they had been touring every single year from 2003 to last year. This is the first year they’re taking off due to Bruce’s cancer scare; they want him to fully recover physically before going out to reconquer the world.
I can see Bruce Dickinson after he retires standing in front of a classroom giving an extremely animated lecture on WW1
Steve Harris is the heart of that band. I think one quote from him is something like “We make really good 7-9 minute songs.” Pretty funny, and it’s true, they do make excellent 7-9 minute songs.

Bruce is on my list of people I wouldn’t mind being. Rock star, pilot and general maniac ;)
Thanks for posting this!
I see that Bruce Dickinson now owns an aircraft maintenance company, Cardiff Aviation.
