At lunchtime today, I leave the building and go out for a walk because, well I need some exercise and I don't want the blood pooling in my legs causing blood clots from sitting on my butt all day.
I work in the South Loop of Chicago near the Fed Reserve, CBOT and the Dirksen Federal Plaza which is just across the street, outside my office window.
There's this nice "visit Thailand" exhibit going on in Dirksen Federal Plaza just across the street, so I walk over there to check it out.
As I'm walking to the entrance, some young lady, probably early 20's comes up to me and asks if I'll sign a petition for "gay rights in the workplace."
Oh, it was just HER lucky day now wasn't it?
So I ask her if she can name 5 rights that gays allegedly don't have in the workplace, I'll sign her petition. She went from having a happy face, to a confused face.
So I then said if she couldn't name 5, could she name three rights that gays allegedly don't have in the workplace. More confused face from an otherwise delightful young lady.
After waiting about 15 seconds, I said if three was too many because she couldn't count that high, could she name ONE right that gays don't allegedly have in the workplace today.
She couldn't name a single one. So I asked her why she was gathering signatures for an issue she knew nothing about, nor could cite any legitimate reason why anyone should sign her petition.
She began mumbling and stuttering. I moved on and continued my walk.
I came across three more young ladies like her during my walk around Dirksen Federal Plaza. All three asked me to sign their petition for "gay rights in the workplace" and all three got the same questions that the first young lady did, and all three failed to cite a single reason why anyone should sign their petition for "gay rights in the workplace."
The last young lady got an extra question however that the other three didn't. After she failed to answer my question of naming a single right gays don't have in the workplace today, I asked her if she knew what a useful idiot was.
Blank stare.
This is what's wrong with the younger generation: they question NOTHING. They seemingly assume that whenever someone claims their rights "don't exist" that it's true, and they must then do something to write a perceived (and non-existant) wrong.
This country is in decline because the younger generations have lost the ability to apply critical thinking, logic and reason to anything. They don't question anything, they accept everything they're told as truth, never bothering to stop and question or seek out the facts for themselves.
Yes they are "young skulls full of mush" and it appears they're staying that way.
Great! Nice to know that the Gay Agenda is still such an important problem to be solved with today’s actual problems!
You folks that even think about this are evil if you think about this when such major problems exist...geez!
They probably think gay preferences in the workplace are a moral imperative.
On reflection, though I thought it was funny (got it off the Friday Silliness thread), I’m sorry I did that to you (and anyone else who clicked on the link).
I did those four girl's mothers and fathers a favor IMO. God knows what'd happen if mommy and daddy found out their precious little daughters were so easily manipulated.
Guessing Key & Peale were trying to be funny along those same lines.....
Well, maybe you are a product of your environment! Maybe young and have been educated by today’s leftists? Things are not always as they seem and certainly not the question of who or what is “gay” and why? After all, our physical properties have a major say in our mental and physical outlook, and other things like physiological treatments by our professors should have little benefit - but not so these days!
You sure handled that better than I would’ve. Catch more flies with honey than vinegar my mother always said.
The line at the end sums it up perfectly.
Sheesh, what line of work are you in? And please don’t tell me Catholic Education.
TFH factory. Under the bunny suits, we all look the same.
;-)
Have you seen my tag line?
Some democrats are actively working to lower the voting age to 16. Democrats LOVE low information voters.
Too funny,
Great post..
Reminds me of this....
No liberal can name Hillary Accomplishments as Secretary of State; they just give stammerings and blank stares...

Yes, they have lost “critical thinking” skills ever since “critical thinking” entered the educational jargon. The American people just can’t figure out squat.
My oldest son (18) told me about that recently. I asked him if he thought his friends should be voting for President and his response floored me, he said "HELL NO!"
Not entirely sure what the Mrs. and I did to raise such a good, common sense oriented son who properly questions everything, but I'm very happy he's turned out the way he has. I'm not worried about his being "indoctrinated" when he heads off for college this fall.
The sad thing is, they can't think of a single accomplishment, yet they somehow make the leap to thinking "it's time we had a woman president" for no other reason, than having a woman president.
Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!
Interesting ..................... you may be right!
Out here those petition people are paid for signatures, so they may not even care about the issues.
I had a really hard time ever buying into a great deal of what gets peddled around. Why? Because unfortunately, to paraphrase Levar Burton, I don’t take your word for it!
