This guy's hobby is buying expensive electronic gear and then smashing it while videoing recording doing it, then putting the video of him doing it on YouTube.

So I guess this is the tech nerd version of the dudes that pay good money to see hookers crush kittens under spike heels.
Nice thread.

An Apple iPhone, an Apple Mac, and an Apple Watch were all subjected to powerful magnets at the same time. Which one was destroyed first?

A Philistine destroys a $10,000 Apple Watch to between two neodymium magnets equaling to 650 pounds of force. Only for the strong of stomach to watch as a barbarian destroys value for destruction's sake. . . but at least he's using a creative approach to do it. PING!

Apple Watch destroyed between two magnets!
Ping!

I got a good old fashioned 30 ton hydraulic press in the shop that will make those “high tech” magnets look like a friendly handshake.

This is more of a business than a hobby. He’s got more than 2,000,000 subscribers to his channel. In other words, a lot more people watch him than watch MSNBC. His more popular videos get millions of views and his channel has had roughly 350,000,000 total views, so he’s paid WELL. There is no way to know his deal with YouTube but based on what I know about others, his channel has probably earned him $750,000-$1,250,000. And that is just in direct payments from YouTube. Savvy YouTubers have other ways to monetize their channels. I bet he’s got other channels, too.

Those magnets can be damned dangerous at that size, they can literally crush someone’s hands...

Not mentioned, but visible in the video: The watch also broke one of the magnets.
