Your post is well intended and thoughtful but seeing as how I grew up in black environs before they got power and while the Great Society was taking off let me spout for you
All Wilcow level truth
1) black culture was always more problematic than whites just like now with errant daddies and crime and exploitative leaders etc and more illegitimacy etc even before Welfare State circa 1970
2) black out of wedlock rate was around 25% in 1960 and now runs about three times that
3) my segregationist ancestry saw the dysfunctionality of black culture from jump street and grew to fear black rule given they often lived in majority black areas but of course they limited black political power to keep their influence limited but not because they hated them but because they feared them and feared pretty much what has happened since all that unfairness melted away.....the proof is in the pudding ....what they feared from 1866 on is now here....and it’s ugly....I know ...I’m living it
4) but the real kicker is forget blacks and all that problematic guilt and dissolution of families and coarseness and preponderance to violence in communities where the mean IQ is around 80.....and daddies are rare as hens teeth....the real damage from the 1960s is to whites proportionately.....in 1960 white illegitimacy was around 1%....today it’s 20-25 times that

6) this notion that it’s just democrat policies to explain why black communities have issues neglects to take in account rich white democrat locales that generally speaking function....the problem is culture lag and our refusal to see it for what it is in order to stop making naive attempts to ignore the obvious and pissing away cash trying to fix what cash won’t fix
