They missed one. As Wikipedia mentioned, Lee volunteered to fight for Finland during the 1939 Finnish-Soviet “Winter War.”

Thanks EveningStar. Reads great, what a life, even if there's some entertainment industry resumé padding going on in there! He once spoke of his having more on-screen swordfighting time than anyone in history while talking about the Three/Four Musketeers movies, and also pointed out that he was twenty years older "at least!" than the rest of the cast when those movies were made.
We will someday be the envy of our youngers, just by virtue of the cavalcade of trans-thisorthat losers that make up the entertainment industry today. Christopher Lee may have been in over 250 movies, but did he ever make the transgender cover of "Vanity Fair"? Was he ever a race-pimp? Drug dealer?

...Rochefort of The Three Musketeers (whose portrayal was so popular the character now inevitably appears with an eye patch, although it wasn't in the book -- Lee introduced it)...
That almost tops "the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare".

I am extremely sad about his passing.
The world seems a little darker for his absence.
He was part of my youth and it’s almost like losing a family member.

It’s no wonder he made such a good Dracula and Saruman, he probably found the roles therapeutic.

Ever watch the Lord of the Rings movies? He played Saruman.
Ever see The Man with the Golden Gun? He played Scaramanga.
Ever see Star Wars Episode 2 or 3 (the Prequels)? He played Count Dooku.
He did a whole lot of other movies as well.
