I hope this thread gets deleted without notice or warning.
(Sorry. Couldn’t help it.)
Be thankful for FR and the Admin Mods and donate monthly. Those are my thoughts.
Before I read further, I summon the Hummblegunner to guide us.
Posting threads is being abused.
In a sense, I pity the poor moderators who must police the threads posted that violate copyright laws and FR’s own clear policy.
In a bigger sense, I pity the FR readers who must even give a glance to the dozens of lazy, sloppy, duplicate posts and threads about the Duggars.
ENOUGH!
It’s is high time that our moderators start cleaning up this place with its useless threads.
It would be better if the mods edited the offending content, and locked the thread from further response.
Better still would be an explanation along with the editing.
Total disappearance of content is a passive aggressive stance.
I don't take it personal when they don't.
Nor do I take it personal when FR deems it appropriate to remove something I stick up on here. And I don't need any long-winded explanation or justification.
I realize sometimes I'll inadvertently run afoul of copyrights or it was posted elsewhere or maybe it's just that my prose is deemed just too silly or trivial to be allowed to remain. It happens.
In those cases, I'd rather not know the reason and delude myself into thinking that what I wrote was absolutely brilliant, but for some complicated legal reason, the FR people had to pull it down.
Thoughts? Better phrasing?

Question.
Are you missing some threads that were deleted?
Moochle 0bama has been called a "wookie" on this very forum.

This thread has been tortioned, twisted, stapled, punchcarded, and turned into toast then eaten with black raspberry jelly. Now we need drinks, hop to it. |

My thoughts: Don’t like the way things are run, create your website. Easy said easy done right?
Nah go ahead and make suggestions but in the end it is up the owner to either heed the suggestion or put it in file 13.

Shouldn’t this be posted in deleted threads?
Since you asked...
So... can may I suggest that when a moderator deletes a thread, the thread creator be notified
The mods mostly keep us from serious copyright violations, which is nice, because that saves FR money. They do a huge job, surprisingly promptly, and they do it cheap. I’m not going to insist that they add to their workload with explanations.
We’re smart. We’ll figure out what is going wrong. Eventually. Pretty soon, I’ll solve my own personal mystery: why do my threads with tasteful pics of Helen Thomas and “Caitlyn” Jenner frolicking together in the nude (from a Gannett news site) keep getting pulled.
It was an innocent, no blood and guts photo of the lion with it's paws on the passenger window just prior to the lunge.
It's the mods discretion.
My feelings aren't hurt.
