One more reason I don't go to baseball games, that and they are boring. When the camera shows the stands at the Astros games, there is hardly anyone there, so I must be on to something.

They’re too expensive for me. You’re easily out $100 bucks.

Some teams draw bigger crowds than others.

It helps if you have a winning team.

I have noticed that via TV with many teams the last couple of years. Stadiums built to hold in the 40k range are hardly half filled. I can sort of understand it for day and week-day evening games, but the same seems true even with weekend games.

Maybe more people are tuning via TVs with their big screens. The broadcasts have better camera angles, replays, etc. Maybe people are tuning out of baseball.

Astros’ on-field success hasn’t been noticed judging by attendance, which is the same 22,000 per game as last year.

I've watched a few Astros games this season. The only really sparse areas I've seen are in the outfield.

I used to be a huge baseball fan. I went to a lot of games in the Astrodome. I basically lost interest after the strike in the mid-90s. Once baseball came back after the strike, I found that I didn't miss it all that much. I used to defend the sport when people said baseball was boring. Now, I find it pretty boring myself. Add to that the fact that the stats have all been messed up by 'roid junkies. I basically only tune in to a game if nothing else is on.
