A 2006 police report detailing Josh Duggars molestation of his sisters has caused a media firestorm, yet the document has also revealed another detail that the Duggar family has yet to address: namely, the assertion by one of their children that Jim Bob and Michelle use a rod to spank them.
The allegations surfaced in the police report, which was released in a redacted form last week by In Touch Weekly. The report includes a summary of a conversation which occurred between an investigator and one of the Duggar children, who remains unnamed.
Inv. Taylor asked [redacted] about getting spanked. [redacted] said that when [redacted] is bad that [redacted] mother and dad spank [redacted]. Inv. Taylor asked what they use to spank. [redacted] said they have a rod. Inv. Taylor asked if they do this to all the kids and [redacted] said yes. Inv. Taylor asked if they leave any bruising [redacted] said no.

WWJD? Write the message you just wrote. Thank you for posting it.
Those unleashing all this hate remind of the Pharisees.
Like you're doing now by trashing them?
I can remember a swat or two or ten when I was a kid. In retrospect I’m sure I deserved it and I don’t think I turned out too bad.
I can’t speak to whether the Duggars know Christ or not. But Gothardism is not normal Christianity. It’s a cult, quite simply.
Scripture says God can forgive anything except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Correct?
Duggar’s forgiveness, like anyone’s, depends upon repentance. Maybe he has, or maybe he hasn’t. What’s your point?
Anything but fawning over the Duggars is labeled “trashing” by their apologists.
Umm... Yeah, hopefully 99.999% of us didn't.
He says he has. If you don't have proof that he hasn't, then bashing him is despicable.
It's absolutely sinful to attack someone that has already gotten right with God.
I haven't even seen their show. All I've seen hatred being spewed at them by leftists because they are pro-life and against gay marriage and by self-righteous types here that apparently get a tingle up their leg reveling in the sins of others.
Obama says he’s right with God, too. You believe him?
(And don’t go screeching at me that I’m lumping Duggar with Obama. It’s an example, and you know it).
Aren’t we supposed to judge by fruits instead of words?
If he’s right with God, good for him. But I note he only came clean after the mess was exposed, and in his statement he said he would’ve ruined “his” life if he had continued.
Take it as you will.
“Hatred”....you do have a flair for the dramatic.
You probably understand the difference between dislike/distaste and hatred, but it feels too good to toss the word around, right?
I would sincerely love to know why there is no room in your philosophy for people who simply do not like the Duggars. Because I don’t. Never have. I’ve always found them bizarre and creepy.
Why is that so outrageous and unimaginable to you? While I wasn’t looking, did someone make it requisite of Christianity and conservatism that one must be fans of that odd family?
Yes, I do believe him. His fruits were good enough to get him a job with the Family Research Council. He was fighting for the right causes and there has been no allegation of misconduct since he was 15.
Why because they have 19 kids?
They only thing I know about them is that have been out fighting against abortion, gay marriage and transgendered laws. I find that admirable.
That’s all very well, but it doesn’t make up for molesting and abusing children.
Now, see? Why would you assume that's the reason, Kazan?
Maybe it's the fact that Michelle dresses like an oversized six-year old in jumpers and Peter Pan blouses.
Or that they force their daughters to wear skirts even when riding bikes. Or the boys to wear shirts when they swim. Or, as previously mentioned, they think they must be covered neck to feet.
Or that those bizarre parents get off on showing the teenagers what they can "do" because they're married, whether it's necking, or the father grinding his pelvis into the mom's butt.
They're freaks. Really, it's no wonder they ended up with a perverted kid.
MamaB, a woman can be modest without diving into legalism and affecting a costume. The Duggars and the little girls with sexy shirts are at the extreme ends of the spectrum.
It's like Penn State Football. It's about protecting the "brand", the "program", at all costs.
I grew up during a time when most girls wore long dresses, skirts and blouses. I rode a bicycle wearing them. All of the girls I knew did. Shucks. I remember being in college and wearing the same. I remember being able to wear pants on campus one time. That happened when it snowed and was very cold during my freshman year. The big crime on campus was panty raids! Yes, it was a very different time but we never had rapes, assaults, etc during my 4 years there. Frankly, I can not remember any crime. The campus police were wonderful and were friends to just about everyone on campus. We called one Pops. Some more of my precious memories.
Well, the Duggar’s parenting methods clearly work well. You can’t argue with success: only one of their kids (that we know of) raped a four year old and at least four other girls.
Who wouldn’t call that a success?
I mean, sure, they pimped their kids out to support their lifestyle, but money is the most important thing, right?
And yes, they do seem to know a whole lot of pedophiles, but I’m sure it’s all part and parcel of their sterling decision making skills.
Where can I get a Duggar Rod? Will they be selling them? They could get Josh to do the commercials!
/these people are monsters.
