The political action committee of freshman Sen. Joni Ernst, Iowa Republican, announced Monday that a handful of 2016 Republican presidential contenders are slated to attend the senators inaugural Roast and Ride event on June 6.
Confirmed speakers include the following announced presidential candidates: retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida.
Other Republicans weighing presidential bids who are also scheduled to speak include Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker...
Before the roast, Ms. Ernst is going to lead a motorcycle ride with veterans and patriots from Big Barn Harley Davidson in Des Moines to the Central Iowa Expo site west of Ames...

Perry will be riding a motorcycle that belongs to Taylor Morris, a Navy explosive ordinance disposal technician from Cedar Falls, Iowa. Perry to use his motorcycle, which he purchased shortly before deploying, and has been unable to ride since being injured. Wonder how the liberals will dump on this? Say that the motorcycle ride has a big carbon footprint??? Say how can they ride motorcycles after the shooting in Texas among motorcycle gangs???
Joni Ernst’s motorcycle ride, preceded by Rick Perry’s fundraiser ride, will indeed be followed by a lot of primo grilled pork, very fresh off the farm. This might be bigger and more fun than the Iowa Straw Vote in August.
