FULL TITLE: 19 Kids and Counting taken off the air by TLC in wake of revelation that son Josh molested young girls and his parents Jim Bob and Michelle covered it up
19 Kids and Counting has been taken off the air.
The show has not been officially cancelled at this time, but has been removed from the network's lineup.
The move comes one day after Josh Duggar, the oldest son of the family featured on the program, admitted that he molested young girls when he was a teenager.
Making matters worse, it was also revealed that his parents worked to cover up this scandal.

The father is the one who took his son to the police the minute he found out. It had been handled long ago by them. The son has made many apologies to all involved and has paid for everybody to go through counseling. He feels absolutely awful for this from his teenage years and has to live with this mistake forever. But do we all really need to crucify him over it again and again, when it happened so many years ago? Are you without sin?
It isn’t as though the family didn’t practically invite this.
The rumors about gothard have been going on for 30 years or more.

Flipping channels an hour or so ago, the guide read that “19 Kids” was on — but instead it was “The Little Couple”...so wifey and Iknew straightaway that the axe had fallen.

I’m just glad we found out what they a really like. Their son is a SEXUAL PREDATOR and they COVERED IT UP. In other words while they were on TLC masquerading as good Christians all the while they knew what their son was capable of doing and just let him do it. I guarantee before this is all over more victims will come out of the woodwork. I mean since he spent time in that rehab center his parents sent him to.
I would have had more respect for the Duggars had they admitted this early on. Just told us “or son has a problem” and “we have sought help for him”. No that was not the case. They lied and tried to cover it up and present a sweep as pie image to the world. Well now that is falling apart.
These people just don’t impress me at all. I makes me sick they’d protect a sex offender and the victims are out there still hurting.
Yes we do. If he was taken to the police then why was he not arrested? Why was he not convicted? Why was he given “special treatment”? Why is he not on the sex offender registry? Don’t give me that “are you with out sin” sh!t. Had it been your daughter he molested you’d want his head on a stake!

Dude! That is my thoughts exactly!! Had this creep molested your daughter what would you have done? I know what I would be doing now! He should be in jail right now and we all know this. Why is he not in jail? This man is a pervert!
I’ve never understood the worshipping of these people by conservatives. They have always given off this creep vibe to me. They are the types that would have something like this happen, but then plaster themselves on TV and in tabloids thinking that it would never come to light or that their crafted persona would somehow withstand the firestorm that would come from it.
He was taken to the police. That’s how we know about this situation to begin with.
The police filed a report about an incident of 4th degree sexual assault and an officer had a talk with him about the seriousness of the crime.
That is what we know happened. So where is the cover-up? If the Duggars hadn’t reported it, like you claim they didn’t, then you would never have heard about this in order to get upset about it.

No juvenile record ever made. They took him to a family friend that was a cop for a ‘stern talk’. The friend later lost his job due to child porn.
Essentially their son molested 4 of his sisters and one other female relative (believed to be cousin Amy) and the friendly cop told him not to do it again. His parents sent him to Little Rock to work with a friend’s construction company as punishment.
He MOLESTED his SISTERS. That certainly is other people’s business! How would you feel if he molested your daughter at 14? The oldest sister was 12, the youngest that was molested WHILE SLEEPING was 4.

How sad, I wish they only removed Josh and his wife off the show. No need to punish the whole family. Will they remove Sister Wife and other filth on the TLC lineup?
I have been going thru so many posts on Twitter, Facebook, other sites and including here on FR. My God so much hate for Josh that even ISIS members do not get such vile hatred.
As for the Duggars, I do enjoy the show time to time simply because it showed self reliance, work ethic, Faith and Family. However, I do not totally agree with their beliefs like not holding hands, having the girls wear skirts, I found that odd. Yet it is their life not mine.
Many are calling him a predator and he is not. Josh is not the same person that he was when he was 14. We do not know why Josh did that during his teen years. However, he has ask forgiveness to God and we do not know the victims also forgave him too. Yet people who were not affected by this are refuse to forgive him as if he molested them not his sister.
This is a private matter, however the show should have used this opportunity to be a learning process in healing.
I pray this show comes back on but again I have never seen much hate against Christians. When this show started I knew the family had a target on their back. Now they got a bulls-eye and Satan is having a field day.
The victims are being re-victimized all over again due to the media.
I do not know Josh personally nor do any of you. Though, I can see he has matured and he made his ammends. Like I said perhaps his victims have forgiven him, we don’t know.
I know from experience, I was 5 and half when I was gang molested by 1 male adult, 2 male teenagers, and 2 male child. I have forgiven them all. I know for a fact that the adult - God took care of him. As one of those teenager happens to be a cousin, and he is now in his 50’s and no way is he the same person back then. He is happily married with kids. I know he has totally change for the better not the smart aleck brat back then. I feel very comfortable being around him.
Then again I was molested by a female cousin, who again I have forgiven and we do chat time to time. She too moved on, married and has a child.
meanwhile I was being verbally and physically abuse by my liberal brother who preached about Social Justice, Racism, etc. yet in the house there was no peace.
I have forgiven everyone, and that is only me to forgive and no one else. I pray that God forgive them because I have and moved on. Like I said we don’t know perhaps the victims have forgiven Josh and Josh asked for forgiveness. That is in God’s hand.
It heartens me to see how low Evil can get against this family. May God protect the Duggars, they will whether out this storm. Some say because too many children - HOGWASH.
Now Satan minions are posting picture of Ted Cruz with Josh. I guess they forgot about the Carters with John Wayne Gacey / Diane Frankenstein with Jim Jones and let us not forget Nancy Pelosi marching in the San Francisco Gay Parade with Harry Hay (NAMBLA).
Now I want to make this clear. What Josh did was wrong, he was 14, we do not know why he did those things. I do support Josh but I do not support the acts he did. I just pray Josh and Anna remain strong thru this epic storm.

It’s worse than the original reports, looks like it involved his sisters, that’s how it stayed covered up so long:
In March of 2002 an unnamed minor said that Josh Duggar, then 14, ‘had been touching her breasts and genitals while she slept.’
He would admit to this a few months later in July, and a member of the family claims they had a meeting to discuss the incident.
Then, in March 2003, ‘several’ minors came forward to say that Josh had been touching them ‘when they sleep,’ leading to his father Jim Bob holding another family meeting and deciding to speak with elders at the family’s church about the offenses.
It was suggested that Josh should enter a treatment program, at which point he spent four months in Little Rock, Arkansas helping a family friend remodel a building.
Upon his return, Jim Bob informed those aware of the situation that Josh had received counseling and took him to a family friend who was a state trooper to reveal what had occurred, resulting in the teenager getting a stern lecture but no formal report being filed by police.
By all accounts the offenses stopped and Josh apologized to the victim, but some time in 2006 an individual in the church who had borrowed a book from the Duggars found a note detailing Josh’s molestation of minors.
That person then sent that information in an email to The Oprah Winfrey Show shortly before the Duggars were set to appear, and they in turn notified authorities who began conducted an investigation.
Jim Bob and Michelle along with all the victims were interviewed, though Josh was made unavailable to speak by his parents and no charges were pursued in the end as the statute of limitations had by that point run out.

You really think that “stern talk” by the cop really kept him from molesting other girls? I know it didn’t. He got off scott free. He was laughing all the way to that construction company. This whole thing is a farce.
I want to say I don’t care who the victims are but really I do. What I mean is, it does not matter if they are his sisters, girls at school or even girls he never knew they are girls he has hurt for life. I am very upset over this. I am upset at how his parents handled this. How the law handled this. How the victims are treated by there not being justice served, no matter who the victims are.
