An Apache Cobra Marine helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in the Los Angeles River bed Monday after experiencing electrical problems, police said.
No one was hurt.
The attack helicopter out of Camp Pendleton made a soft landing about 1:15 p.m. on the east bank of the river in South Gate, between Imperial Highway and the 105 Freeway, the South Gate Police Department said.
Aerial footage showed several personnel working on the helicopter as curious onlookers stood by.
Active Duty ping.

My old Squadron
Lol. Ford Silverado..
In flight school at Rucker a classmate of mine got lost while solo in a TH55. Got so low on fuel that the IPs back at the airfield told him to just find a safe place to land. He chose what turned out to be an elementary school. The kids were excited and impressed by the unplanned static display. The IPs less so.
The MSM should be given props for not calling it a SCUD or AK-47...................You know how they are with military hardware
