Spatula City
LOL! Why do I love this kind of trivia?
Because nothing says “I love you” like a spatula ....
Ray Kroc invented the Kroc pot. Most people misspell the word not know who the inverter was. This is how he raised money to start the McDonald’s restaurant chain.
Also perfect for scratching your back. Especially after you sit on the couch without a shirt and there is no fabric on the cushions.
And I thank him for that. I practically live out of my Kroc pot.
I just opened a deluxe kitchen set that my wife had bought. Two spatulas, bendable spoon and tongs. All with silicone heat resistant surfaces. “I bought them as my mother’s-day present from you.” I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I’m not taking the bait!
I don’t think that’s accurate. Kroc first made his money selling multi-mixers, and met the McDonald brothers when they wanted to buy some from him. Also, the crock pot seems to have been invented by Irving Naxon via his company Naxon Utilities from my quick internet search.
This article seems a bit too much to be real. But I suppose life can be weirder than fiction.
“Neccesity is the mother of invention” was is?! Cool
Arms cut up with his fork/knife thingy?
And finally - his wife runs off with his bum of a boss?
Good looking guy though - looks more “modern” than I would think. Why do all the old photos usually show some ugly guy or gal?
Spaduala had it pretty rough. This Kruger chap permanently disfigures the guy's hand, fires him, and runs off with his wife. All of this on top of the possibility (depending on whose story one believes) that his immensely successful invention was essentially stolen from him.
More than enough to put someone over the edge.
It says in a comment at the bottom that the author’s full name is Mike Fork.
That would explain why he got interested in kitchen utensils.
It’s a good thing. Make her dinner and just love her. :)
I never heard of a spatula till I was in my teens and on a camping trip. One of the kids was cooking something and asked me to hand him the spatula.
I said “What is a spatula?” He then pointed to it and I said “OH, you mean the EGG TURNER!”
That is what all our family called it.
