Men married women more when they kept their legs crossed more.
It’s a sad state when the over-riding concern is what happens when the marriage is over, not “till death do us part.”
It’s sadder yet for virtuous young people, especially young ladies when the pool of eligible mates refuse to man up.
The non-virtuous ones made their bed already and are paying the price in many ways. Unfortunately, they’ve messed it up for everyone.

Well, let’s see now.. marry someone who will cheat behind your back, who then upon divorcing you gets at least half your stuff, most of your monetary assets, and if you’re a military retiree, part of your retirement.

It is difficult to fall in love with someone who can look you in the eye and say in so many words that it is her “choice” whether the baby you helped create should live or die.
Women indeed are the “gatekeepers” of civilized society.
When men have to channel their sex drive into maintaining a relationship and supporting someone else besides themselves,
we have civilization.
When they are allowed to not have that restriction on their copulation,
there is chaos.
Women’s indecision, contradictions and unreasonable demands have been codified into law and/or made part of societal norms.
But men are survivors. They are Upper Paleolithic Hunter-Gatherers whose instincts have not been completely dulled by modernity and technology. Scorn us and we will withdraw. Accuse us without evidence of a transgression and we will ignore you. Criticize us while ignoring your own voluminous faults and we will chortle and get on with our own business while gladly ignoring yours.
Heterosexual women who believe, endorse and amplify ‘feminism,’ a purely leftist ideology created from whole cloth by lesbians and old maids, are fools of the highest order as they have sabotaged their own romantic prospects.
Men are blamed for everything under the sun, why live under the same roof with it.

IMO, no-fault divorce laws are largely to blame. As it stands now a woman could run off and sleep with the entire New York Jets football squad, and her betrayed hubby would still have to pay her support.
If the law still held each party accountable for their decisions things would be much better.
