Joe Carter’s home run to seal Toronto’s second World Series title remains an indelible memory for Blue Jays fans, almost 22 years later. And it seems at least a couple of players on the losing end are still fixated on it, too.

Mitch Williams, the former Phillies closer, gave up the series-clinching blast to Carter in the bottom of the ninth inning of Game 6 of the 1993 World Series. His thoughts on that moment sparked an ugly spat with former teammate Lenny Dykstra at the Philly Sports Roast in April. Yes, April of 2015.

The video includes plenty of language that is not safe for work:

If I could capture the essence of Philadelphia in a three-minute video, this would be it. What a couple of misfits and losers.

A game winning or game losing play can affect you for the rest of your life, even at the high school level. Bobby Plump, for example. His final shot for tiny Milan in the 1954 Indiana basketball championship made him a life long celebrity. He even has a restaurant called ‘Plump’s Last Shot’.

The Broad Street Bullies really captured the essence of Philadelphia.

Best sign I ever saw in the crowd at a Flyers-Devils playoff game was held by a Devil's fan:

"Win or Lose, you still live in Philly."

Lenny Dykstra....I thought he was in jail.

The next year at the home run derby Carter was struggling to get one out of the park, players started chanting “Bring out Mitch!”

They were both born and raised in California.

Mitch Williams - “The Wild Thing” - I remember a story from that year about a hospital patient whose cardiologist forbade him from watching the Phils games on TV when Williams was pitching because he was so erratic in where the balls he threw would end up - it could be stressful watching him in action.....

They sure gravitated to Philly like moths to a porch light, didn’t they? LOL.
