No real penalty, a couple of low-wage schmucks get fired, all is good.
Who says CHEATING DOESN’T PAY???
They are walking away with tens of millions of dollars from this, exactly as I predicted when it happened.

Not much of a Patriots fan but I really don’t see why this is a big deal, in NASCAR they play with air pressure in the tires all the time. lol

Seattle passing with 26 seconds to play didn’t help either.

A 243 page summary on deflated footballs??? That’s one hell of a thorough investigation...

Don’t have a dog in this fight, could care less about pro football.
That said, shame on those that minimize this cheating. It is only the biggest game in the sport of American Football. Perhaps it is only cheating if their opponent is caught. True Conservatives loath cheating on all levels.

"more probable than not that....personnel intentionally deflated footballs....and that Tom Brady....was probably aware of it."
"Probable"?
Well heck, one could say it was "probable" that Romney threw the Presidential election, or that Seattle threw the Super Bowl.
"Probable" doesn't mean squat.

The solution will be to make footballs out of the same material as hockey pucks! :)

An N.F.L. investigation has found that it is more probable than not”
Well now that’s a definitive statement, probably.

I skimmed the full report. Aside from the actual pressure data on the balls, the evidence all revolved around cell phone records and text messaging. In addition to records that were created beginning the day after the game, they went back to at least October to establish whether the parties communicated before the game. Interesting to note they got transcripts of text messages but no voice recordings of calls.
You’d think Brady and the two locker room attendants would have been smart enough to avoid generating more evidence the day after the game. Cell phone evidence is a big part of the case against Hernandez.

I think it was Junior Johnson that once said (and I’m paraphrasing) “if you cheat on 10 things and NASCAR tech inspection only finds 5......well, your 5 to the good”. Priceless.

Patriots caught cheating again, just as I thought.
