I was having a conversation with a black paraprofessional about our crummy union. I mentioned that it is by now so dysfunctional and so politically in bed with the Bored of Ed that I predict it will lose its accreditation. I cited its use of union funds to fund a protest about the police brutality against Staten Island's Eric Garner case, etc. The union has been haring off in every direction except its prime objective, serving the teachers whose paychecks are garnished to support this corrupt body. This paraprofessional then said that there was merit in the union supporting an anti-police initiative like that. I questioned that. Then he started up citing "crazy women from the Republicans", which turned out to be Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann. I asked him for specifics about why he thought they were "crazy". His specifics were, that they thought Odungo was a Muslim. I asked him how he knew the Prez was NOT a Muslim. He just thought it a ridiculous notion. I cited his name on attendance rosters for an Indonesian madrassa. How about THAT? I asked. No, the paraprofessional said, that didn't prove anything. Then he started in about how BUSH was "in" on 9/11, how he partnered with the Saudis to bring that off. Incredulous, I asked him for specifics, which he could not provide. Then he accused me of hating Odungo because he was black, blah blah blah and I said I didn't care about his race, which I do not (it's his total incompetence and lack of allegiance to America--which I did not mention to this gentleman). He then declared the conversation to be over and I could tell our friendly relationship was over as well. I am still shaking my head about this.
You are in the minority, not he.
Typical liberal.
Same old, same old.......we hear the same disassociated logic ALL over...........
Bammy is only a halfrican with no slave blood and plenty of privilege from many sources and colors.
Sounds tribal to me.
Liberals don’t have core values, they have agendas.
That pretty much explains it.
I find I come away with less of a headache then if I had had the discussion.
People like that would make Excellent Political Commissars in the New Democratic People's Republic.
I also could not think of a better Compliment for Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann than not to be liked by that Asshat you speak of!
Just to provide this “segmentation” for the FR readers. See more below.

To EinNYC:
Really?
If you provide such free-association “rambling”, run-on sentences and conflagrated paragraphs, what should we think of you as an educator of our children? Your concerns are valid but, when put-forth in this way, why should we take the time to “divide” your post and make a conservative determination (that, on its face appears genuine)?
Moral of the story: If you want to retain a friendship with a liberal don’t try to have a rational conversation with him. Talking about the weather is okay as long as you don’t mention global warming/climate change.
As you are doing so, think over all the things the Leftists in the Country have Done, Said and Still Want to do.
You will realize that to them, The Iron Curtain isn't a Warning.
It's a Goal.
They are all for Oppression, as long as they are the ones doing the Oppressing.
Cletus: you are NOT qualified to criticize my writing skills. It is obviously an attempt by you to score a cheap attack on a teacher. It is also not to the point. The point is trying to capture what happened a few minutes ago. Please take your animosity toward teachers to a more appropriate venue, like the city dump. Thank you.
Liberalism is a sad mental disease. I have experienced it in my family with tragic results. (Phone call to 911, “he’s, he’s a supporter of Pat Robertson, yea! Get him out of my house!”)
Same thing at my school. Want to feel better? Take a Sharpie with you to the lounge and write truthful statements on their propaganda posters.
I have a co-worker who was making fun of Ted Cruz and Ben Carson (all Republicans really). When I pointed out that when we criticized Obama in the past we were called racists, so by that same criteria you must be a racist and hate Latino’s (Cruz). The point being made (I thought) was simple. Any criticism of Obama is quickly deemed racist, so why not the other way around? I listened to the twisted logic (sounded like Charlie Brown’s teacher, blah blah blah), but it basically ended at the same foregone conclusion, I’m racist for bring it up.
I know the feeling. But every once in a while I just can't resist pushing one or two libtards' buttons. I'll ask an apparently innocent question, or make a somewhat detached observation on a social media site and watch their heads explode, the illogical arguments and insults fly. Then I'll point out the fallacies in their "arguments" and withdraw. The key is not to get drawn into a long debate, merely point out a few of the usual numerous faults in their stance. Then let their emotions, lack of self-control, and sheer idiocy prove your point for you. Long debates just get tedious - you end up having to basically educate them on everything starting from around 4th grade...
I treat it as a sport and a boost. If I need a good laugh, go poke a liberal and watch the show. If I'm feeling down, go poke a liberal and after they spew some ignorance I start to feel better about at least not being that stupid. Hey, entertainment is where you find it. If God didn't want us to laugh at liberals, he wouldn't have made them so stupid, funny, and numerous to begin with.
kinda shows what’s wrong with unions nowadays....and why they’re losing steam, influence, credibility, and money.
You're rockin' my world. It's as if I've just been told about spreadable cheese.
