This is a US Government website which tracks our (negative, and getting ever worse) trade deficit with the Peoples Republic of China.

Last year we ran an all-time new record trade deficit with China of 342 billion dollars.

Guess what?

Eliminate or reduce corporate taxes,

No excuse to not stop the bleeding in the mean time. I will not exploit the US worker because of a high corporate tax rate. I am not opportunistic to the point where I would put our economy and national security at risk.

but tariffs are suicidal

Income taxes are suicidal. Only a socialist thinks like you. Yes, you are a socialist if you in anyway defend income taxes.

I not only don’t support or defend income taxes, I told you so just posts ago. Pay attention.

I consider tariffs as socialist as income taxes... so that makes you a socialist.

I guess that makes Washington, Jefferson, Madison and all founding fathers socialist too. They were as a group devout protectionists and would consider you almost a traitor

They are dead and I never met them... so it would be difficult for them to judge me.

Further, they lived when our country was young, with nascent industries. That is not true today... so it would be impossible to put words in their mouths that apply to today.

More importantly, I’m not for income taxes or tariffs and you are.

Bull even more reason for them now with traitors trying to sell out the USA manufacturing base for pennies on the dollar.

Free Trade is your religion and the business schools are its temples and the professors it's priests.

So without tariffs OR income taxes how does the Federal pig get sloped?

I believe consumption taxes are the most transparent.
Also, some use fees.

In any case, we have too many taxes and none of us can change it...
