Texas Fossil, I just called Johnny, it is about 6:30pm, central time and he had just gotten home. His voice sounded strong and he said he didn’t get the full treatment as time ran out for this day. He doesn’t know how much of the med he got by 5:00pm, quitting time for the employees, so he will go back for the rest but doesn’t know when, yet.

I am thankful he is back home and sounds strong. What a day he has had, there from early, to just now he is home.

I’m sure he will post to the thread after he eats and rests, etc..

Thanks for all of you caring about him - he is special to the world.
Marcella

Glad he’s doing ok, but what a shame. All that trouble to get going, and they couldn’t finish the job, so he has to go back. I hope that doesn’t decrease the effectiveness of the treatment.

We need our Johnny to have the best of care, and get well.

When a drafting table has had a protection artboard on it for a month...and it's in my house... it's going to need to be replaced.

And this is what it looks like.

For about 15 minutes.

And that's the lesson on housekeeping from a single guy. ;)

I won't spend much time on today except to say that the radiation part went well, and the HEMO/ONC part went horrible. I will get it sorted out, even if I have to stand on people's desks.

Thanks for the update, Marcella.

A round of chemo; another round of prayers: repeat as needed!

And H.D. prayers will really be needed, if they continue to clock out & lock up before his doses are fully administered. I thought he was in Texas, not using the British NHS...or is he stuck with the V.A.?

Hey Marcella, guess what I found? After scouring the garage, poking around in the garden where I planted them last year, I found the bush cucumber plant tag. Whenever I plant anything new I always save the tag. Bugged me because I couldn’t find it anywhere. I tilled the garden up 3 times, the 3rd time being yesterday. Went down to plant this morning and raked the whole garden first to smooth it out. About 40 feet from where I had planted then I found the plant tag. Maybe it was down deep in the soil and I couldn’t find it before, got caught up in the tiller blade (it is a little chewed up) and then made it’s way down the garden. I’m happy because it will be a couple of weeks yet before the plants are at that nursery. The tag says it’s from Chef Jeff’s (www.chefjeff.com) No specific name but it’s just called a Bush Pickle. There is a little info on the website. They are great for eating and for pickling and they grew well in a large tomato cage. I had all I needed and gave away lots. Hope that helps. Just in case the seeds don’t work out. I started some seeds but am going to get a new plant too.
