You have got to be kidding, how is a city dwelling liberal going to survive in a rural setting. No dump services, no abortion clinic on ever corner, no big city services, no bus service, no, they are not going to move here.
That's yet another difference between the First World Left and the Third World Left. The former is made up of urban intellectuals who hate and despise the people who live in the countryside (while claiming to love the countryside itself). The latter are made up of people who idealize the rural peasantry. Mao Tse-tung forced urbanites to go into the country and live with the "mouth breathing rubes" and do farm work alongside them (he even put the "mouth breathers" in control). And everyone knows what Pol Pot did.
Can you imagine our urban academic leftist elite having to go out and work under some Nebraska farmer helping to get in the corn crop? It's ridiculous. Mao defined the revolution as one by the countryside against the evil cities that exploited it. Our leftists believe the cities are "exploited" by the countryside!
Yet our "cultural Marxists" still insist that they are the "comrades" of the more traditional (and socially conservative) Marxists of the Third World. They profess their admiration for Mao, Stalin, Castro, Chavez, Allende, Ortega, Ho Chi Minh, Kim Il Sung, and Enver Hoxha. None of these regimes had "marriage equality"--not ONE. Nor do our "cultural Marxists" demand it of them. But when it comes to us, the rural peasantry are the counterrevolutionary villains who must be destroyed and the cutting edge of "world revolution" are wealthy white homosexuals!
Is anybody else seeing how crazy all this is???
Abortion clinics MUST be provided by law, so even rural settings will have them, and the urban liberal will sue people out of all they own to get the fundamental human right of abortion satisfied.
