On the day he admitted to his audience that he had sexual relationships with staffers, his audience erupted in applause.
Given the liberal libertine bent of his audience, I find it hard to believe there was stunned silence or disapproval of this. This is the same guy who jokes about Sarah Palin’s daughters getting knocked up, and cheered by his fans for so doing.
Is this even a dirty joke? I don’t get it.
That could be perhaps the worse joke I have ever heard in my life. His audience should have responded, 10 lbs of makeup and he still looks like a clown.
His joke was from a more old fashioned world view. I can imagine Jerry Lewis saying this today, in full knowledge of offending people. A watered down version of this concept exists today, in the popular belief that a good wife should be a refined lady in the tea room and an uninhibited harlot in the bedroom.
But wait, wasn’t it just last year that girls were staging little marches against Slut-Shaming? Yes. Yes it was. So these same people are now pretending to be ‘shocked, shocked that there is degenerate vulgar behavior going on here.
Back in his NBC “Late Night” days, he was funny and his show was enjoyable.
But liberalism, like a dread cancer, devolved Dave to what he is today: angry, unfunny and burnt out.
And for my money, there hasn’t been “must watch” late night tv since Johnny Carson retired. Not that I have cable or satellite anymore.
Gee.....don’t think I’ve heard that one. Ever.
He has made a career out of treating whores like ladies.
That is how Letterman lives his life. Whom he marries, he trashes, dumps, and ignores. His hardworking TV show staff, however, he treats like they live to give him bl** jo*s.
Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose - Treat Her Like A Lady Lyrics
Artist: Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose
All my friends had to ask me
Somethin’ they didn’t understand
How I get all the women
In the palms of my hand, now
And I told them, to treat her like a lady
(You got to, got to treat her like)
Um, hum all the best you can do
(Treat her like, you got to, got to treat her like)
You got to treat her like a lady, she give into you
Ah, hum now who can see, you know what I mean?
I know you heard that a woman
(Treat her right, gotta treat her right)
Will soon take advantage of you
(Treat her right, gotta treat her right)
Let me tell you, my friend
(Treat her right, gotta treat her right)
There just ain’t no substitute
(Treat her right, gotta treat her right)
You oughta a treat her like a lady
(You gotta, gotta treat her like)
Um, hum, all the best you can do
(Treat her like, you gotta, gotta treat her like)
You gotta treat her like a lady
She give into you, ah, hum
Now who can see? You know what I mean
Oh, you’ve got to love her, tease her
(Love her, tease her)
But most of all you’ve gotta please her
(Please her)
You’ve gotta hold her now an want her
(Hold her, want her)
And make her feel you’ll always need her
(Need her)
You know a woman is sentimental
(Woman, woman)
And so easy to upset
(Woman, woman)
So make her feel
(Feel)
That she’s for real
(Real)
An she give you happiness, whoa, oh, oh
Strange as it seems
(Treat her like, you gotta treat her like)
You know you can’t a woman mean
(Treat her like, gotta treat her like)
So my friends, now there you have it
I said it’s the easy simple way
Now if you fail, uh, ta do this
Don’t blame her if she looks my way
‘Cause I’m gonna a
A treat her like a lady
(You gotta, gotta treat her like)
Um, hum, so affectionately
(Treat her like, you gotta, gotta treat her like)
I’m gonna treat her like a lady
She give into me, uh, huh
Now who can see? You know what I mean
Oh you gotta a treat her like a lady
(You gotta, gotta treat her like)
Um, hum, all the best you can do
(You gotta, gotta treat her like)
You gotta treat her like a lady
She give into you
Letterman was actually quoting Wilson Mizner who was a manager of The Brown Derby restaurant as well as a playwright.

That’s old stuff, learned that years ago and I think
ie was from someone famous too, might have been my dad.
What’s sexist about that? I heard that in boot camp when I was 17.
So What?
