Thousands of Wal-Mart employees are fighting to get their jobs back after Wal-Mart suddenly closed five stores last week without warning.
The retailer said it closed the stores in California, Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida due to persistent plumbing issues that could take as long as six months to fix.
More than 2,200 workers were laid off as a result and given two months of severance pay.
But some critics are skeptical that Wal-Mart closed the stores because of plumbing issues.
Officials in the five cities where Wal-Mart closed stores claim the company hasn't sought permits for plumbing work, according to ABC News. Additionally, a Wal-Mart plumbing technician who worked at the now shuttered store in Brandon, Florida, told WFLA that even if the store is replacing its entire sewage line, the work shouldn't take as long as six months.
The UFCW a labor group representing Wal-Mart's laid off workers claims the company closed the stores in retaliation against workers organizing for better pay, which is something that Wal-Mart has been found guilty of doing in Canada.
The group has filed a claim with the National Labor Relations Board demanding that the company rehire the employees.
The UFCW isn't alone in its skepticism.
The closures have also fueled conspiracy theories that the US military is planning to enact martial law this summer under the guise of a Special Operations exercise called Jade Helm 15.
According to one popular theory, the military will use the shuttered Wal-Mart stores as "processing" facilities for Americans once martial law is hatched.

They don’t have to work that hard.
Keep the store open.
Have a ‘black friday’ sale.
When the store gets packed, lock the doors.
Done.
Not only will you see the plumbing repaired but my guess it the stores will be
remodeled from top to bottom, front to back. The group stirring this pot is
ones from the CA store that has been raising a ruckus for the past couple years.
I just remember the Superdome was almost condemned after 0bama and Holder's people spent several days there, and it has toilets to accomodate sixty five thousand fans.
I ran across a man filling his bus up right after Katrina. He runs a local coach biz. I overheard him talking and he said he drove that coach down to NOLA to transport victims 3 states away from us....on his dime. Said he’d never do it again. On the way to Houston.....several wanted him to stop at the liquor store. He refosed as he knew it may cause problems. They abliged by urinating on and slashing the seats. It all had to be replaced. Some gratitude, eh?
The ‘closed’ WalMart here is only 3 miles from another WalMart. That store was empty of people.
Walmart babes for sure...........
The WalMart in my neck of the woods (upper income) doesn’t have these people in it... no buses to it.
Interesting how five stores in different states had the same exact plumbing problem. I wonder the odds .....
Bookmarking.
There's an article out today about a USAF missile site near Post, Texas. I don't recall seeing SAM batteries deployed in previous exercises.
They should be able to close stores and lay people off at will.
But they haven’t been fired yet
Real high when it’s the same contractor working off the same plans taking the same shortcuts.
[ They should be able to close stores and lay people off at will. ]
Agree 1000%, but if the gov told them they needed the store for the exercise and they had no choice then it is an issue.
Same contractor in different states? And what local permit administrator approved them?
Walmart just reflects the demographics of the area.
Nationwide companies very frequently send out the same specialist contractors all over the country.
Alex and Infowars have officially jumped the shark......they are totally insane

Indeed, I think the wal-mart thing is just union busting by wal-mart, but they cannot say it
