What do you think of this? Despicable and outrageous, or just the school and police doing their duty?:
"On March 24, cannabis oil activist Shona Bandas life was flipped upside-down after her son was taken from her by the State of Kansas. The ordeal started when counselors at her 11-year-old sons school conducted a drug education class. Her son, who had previously lived in Colorado for a period of time, disagreed with some of the anti-pot points that were being made by school officials."
The school called the police. Coppers showed up at Shonas home, searched everything, and ended up finding two ounces of cannabis oil which she uses to treat her Crohns disease. The result? She could lose her child her ex has already been granted temporary custody of her son and Shona faces the battle of her life.
If this horrendous story doesnt convince you that marijuana should be legalized, I dont know what will. Its absolutely insane that Shona and many others like her are treated like psychopathic mass murderers, just because they use cannabis to treat an illness and because they believe others should be allowed to do the same.

Fine, legalize marijuana, but don’t make me pay for welfare for the ones who can’t get or keep a job because of it.
How many drugs have sizzled your brain then?
Shouldn’t parent’s rights be legalized instead?
That's the key point right there. This is a police (or government) abuse story, not a pro- or anti-pot story.
There is nothing wrong with this. An 11 year old in a class discussion disagreed with a teacher, citing what his mother had taught him. The Volksteacher contacted Stasi, who interviewed the child without the parents knowledge.
Then they conduct a search of the mom’s house and find forbidden vegetables. This counterrevolutionary ring was rolled up in a matter of hours.
It was a brilliant and fast move by the office of state security, after an alert teacher noted a child’s statements disagreeing with the position of the state. And additional benefit is that the other children saw what happened when a child spoke too loosely.
Everyone acts like East Germans were bad, but they have shown us the way.
The only shame here is that the NSA/FBI internet surveillance did not detect this sooner.
She should put her kid up for adoption.
She obviously didn’t teach him to keep his mouth shut.
I’m still trying to understand how the cops can violate consent laws, demand by suspicion only entrance to her home and failing that, with no evidence, they can acauire a warrant with still no probable cause.
Conservatives want small government. But not that small.
No. I think most FR’pers realize legalizing it is not a good idea. People will rationalize having a liquor store next to a school if they’re an alcoholic tho...
What better way for the left to find more doped up voters than to make their drugs legal and then have the war on druggies by the conservatives.

I would be for decriminalization as opposed to legalization.
First let’s end the war between presidential candidates with bad tempers and female journalists.
I no, really...
Stay outta muh head!
I just rote the same thing...
“Know how to spell know.”
Born in and grew up in the Netherlands. Grew up speaking Dutch. Maybe you could blog us an article in Dutch with no misspellings or errors.
If your child attends a government indoctrination camp expect to be reported.
I think the real problem here was *not* the marijuana, but the child rejecting what was effectively an indoctrination speech. Such speeches and propaganda happen far too often in schools, and being “cheeky” to those spreading the propaganda can get a student in trouble.
There would be general agreement that if the propagandist had been from Planned Parenthood, indoctrinating the children about how they should experiment sexually with each other, sexual perversity and how much fun it is, and don’t worry if you get pregnant; you can get a free abortion and don’t have to tell your parents; and a pro-life child spoke up, only to get her mother arrested, the outrage here would be palpable.
Likewise, if some teacher brought in a communist to tell their students how wonderful communism is, and how evil democracy is, how Republicans are no different than Nazis, etc. And then, when a student objected, for them to be arrested by the teacher on some fabricated charge.
Or say, Islam and Sharia.
Again, the problem is not the marijuana, but the willingness of the school to inform on the student to the police, *without evidence* or wrongdoing. And the willingness of the police to roust this woman and her son with allegations of what? Child abuse and neglect?
Which gives the police the authority to conduct a search?
Do you agree with Ted Cruz that states, rather than fedgov, should decide on marijuana legalization?
Not this freeper. End the prohibition on drugs.
