I think it's time for another FreeRepublic Wager. Basically, we decide on an event that's going to happen one way or another shortly. (Like who would win a sporting event, or if someone on trial is found guilty or not guilty.)
Everyone makes their predictions, then after the event has passed, those who predicted incorrectly agrees to pay $20 in donations to FreeRepublic.
Several months ago, we had a thread on how SCOTUS will rule on Obamacare (still pending), and hopefully everyone will keep to their pledge if they predicted wrong.
So...your ideas?
Free Republic could open up a casino. The Indians in Oklahoma are making a fortune over people’s inability to control their vice of gambling ... LOL ...
Don’t forget to throw in the fact that a portion of the proceeds will “go to the kids” ... that’s always a nice touch! ... :-) ...
no hits? Come on!
I’ll come up with my own then.
And get Jim busted for a gambling operation?
In this very toxic political environment I wouldn’t give the eponymous “them” any reason to harass the forum host.
Cruz for takes everything. My $100 against first-comers $300. That’s 3:1 odds on a Cruz Presidency.

Not legal.
Your on.
You pay in $300 if Cruz does not become President? I’ll pay in $100 if he is.
Of course it is.
Other way around.
Prolly, I don’t know how to state odds like a bettor.
Damn, I suck at betting. I pay 300 happily if Cruz wins. You pay 100 if anyone else wins.
How’s that?
Ha! I’ll pay $1000 if he wins. Next idea?
I’ll pay $1,000 in order to help ensure he wins.
