I’ve gone LED with a lot of applications. Especially those without a lot of additional internal components. Failure mechanisms in CFLs pretty much tells me they aren’t a long lasting item....but I’ve had some LEDs that have been phenomenal in reliability and efficiency.
IOW, I’m not all incandescent, especially where my lighting needs can be met with an LED at a reasonable cost.

I do have a table lamp plus an exterior light both with LED technology.
They have both been illuminated for YEARS and are never switched off.
My theory is that maintaining them on is what is contributing to their longevity. No on/off/on/off cycles.

I was on LEDs when CFLs were being promoted, LEDs make perfect sense for indoors, and at least the Christmas lights did not break and worked when I inadvertently ran those LEDs over with my Impreza.

I use LED. That pesky old incandescent that burned out above my tub every month replaced with LED. No problem.
I replaced every bulb I could with LED’s and haven't bought a light bulb in 3 years except for the Halogen track lights in my kitchen.

I’ve been using the CREE LED in the living room for over a year now. I like them, cool to touch, coated for break resistance and the light is comfortable to the eyes, no flickering etc.

The LED itself is pretty reliable. It is usually the Chinese electronics in the bulb that fails.
