A man defended his home from four armed burglars by hacking pieces out of them with a Samurai sword.
Dias Costa, 49, slashed the face, arms, and necks of the raiders, who fled the property in a getaway car while dripping with blood.
The burglary took place late at night in the Cerro Norte neighbourhood of Cordoba, in central Argentina - and all of the men are currently in intensive care.

That’s a good observation. A sword blade path can create an enormous wound channel. Worse than a bullet in some cases.
A little Kendo goes a long way.
Actually... The term I was looking for was “area denial”. In a confined space a sword makes the whole room a place nobody else wants to be.

It could have been worse. In Brazil all 4 of them would have “shot” trying to elude police.

I was quite disappointed that there were not pictures of the pieces which had been hacked off of the burglars.
Leaving a few pieces behind would cure them for a good long time...
That’s some mighty fine Saber Rattling. Meanwhile in the U.S.A., a homeowner shoots and kills a man, a young German student who broke into his house. This homeowner is now in prison for the next 20 years. I think the homeowners last name was Karma. Ironic.

In florida...few yrs ago...amabulance call to a bar..”knife fight”....buddy of mine was there....responding...said there were 2 cubans laying there on their backs...feet almost touching....hands...arms...ears...various body parts all arround the bodies...he figures they stood face to face...and kept on chopping away...neither one ran...or even backed up....just chopped away till both fell dead.

I have a 300 year old blade within reach of of my bed. It’s no fancy looking Samurai sword, but it is one wicked-sharp, perfectly balanced weapon. Actually have half a dozen swords scattered thoughout the house—they are great decor and unobtrusive backups. Most people don’t even notice they are real. LOL
