A friend of Arlene's started this GOFUNDME campaign a month ago. In this case, Arlene referred her friend and long-time customer to other florists because she could not in good conscience provide full wedding support for his same-sex wedding. Although the couple received flowers, the Washington State Attorney General, and later, the same-sex couple, sued Barronelle. The court found her liable for violating the Washington Law Against Discrimination and ruled that both the state and the couple may collect damages and attorneys' fees from Barronelle's business and personal assets.

The Washington State Attorney General offered this feisty lady a "deal" if she would agree to not "discriminate". She refused, in the name of her religious convictions. So the State is pressing the suit to bankrupt her, professionally and personally. The GOFUNDME link to help with her legal and personal costs is posted. Another chance to help those who take a stand, for those who missed the chance to donate to Memory's Pizza!

She should sue in Federal court under title 42 section 1983 against the state for violating her first amendment right to peacefully assemble.

What’s the home address and phone number of the Washington State Attorney General?

Also, what’s the home address and phone numbers of the two trouble-making pervs?

Guess this a-hole AG doesn’t understand the 1st Amendment to the Constitution. It takes precedence over any state law — but then lib states are different.

Over $91,000 as of this post. Her case is not as well known as the hysterical case of Memories Pizza.

But she is in REAL DANGER of losing her business because of GOVERNMENT intervention.

Although the couple received flowers...

So she sold them enough flowers for them to arrange at their wedding but that wasn’t enough as she had to appear at their wedding and arrange the flowers herself!

I just don’t understand it. These left wingers pitch a bitch if God is mentioned in school or on any piece of government property yet they thing it’s perfectly okay for the government to tell an individual how they can and cannot worship.

The bottom line for this law is two fold.

1) Christians cannot be friends with homosexuals any more, even if the Christians are kind, outgoing and charitable people. Because if they have any commerce at all with homosexuals they set themselves up for merciless abuse, if not directly from the homosexuals, then from the state.

2) Christian businesses involving any aspect of marriage, need to make contracts with the churches in the area that do not marry homosexuals, to *only* provide wedding services to marriages held in those churches. This insulates the business as it is no longer providing a “public service”. At the same time, it also rejects those people who want a secular marriage, or one performed at liberal churches that embrace homosexual marriage.

It is not a “public service”, but a “contractual service”, and thus immune from this law.

It's all about coming after Christians. If it was about discrimination why aren't they going after these Muslims who refuse to serve Gays?
