First, Rolling Stone needs to make an abject and unqualified apology to the members of the fraternity (who had to cower in their frat house while a mob outside was throwing bricks through their windows).
Second, Rolling Stone needs to repeat that.
Rinse and wash again.
Then, it can get on with explaining how it hopes its “mistakes” don’t discourage others from reporting their rapes, etc (as per the official PC narrative).
Amazing how when a bunch of lefttards say “Sorry”, all is forgiven.
When a conservative or a Republican does it, they are banished from the public eye forever.
My first encounter with leftist show trials where the “seriousness of the charges” trump the facts is when Judge Bork and Clarence Thomas were both subject to “hi-tech lynching.” The liars on the left will pay one way or another, whether temporally or eternally. Meanwhile this is their meme, and it works well with an ignorant population.
No sanctions, no one loses their job, no consequences at all. Summing up the article in one sentence: “Gee, sorry; we’ll try to do better next time”
Bullshit!
The story fit the narrative and Rolling Stone ran with it as fast as they could, salivating all the while.
This took them, what, six months to getting around to doing this?
Gee, no apology to the real victims - the fraternity.
But apologies to other victims of sexual assault?
It wasn’t rape-rape! -Whoopie
Rolling Stone is now a laughingstock among serious people. Their goal is to advance their own politics, and so they are blind to the possibility that they are lied to when the story aligns with their view of the world.
They got played, and not by “evil conservatives” but by people who share their own views and used their own tactics.
To Rolling Stone: Go home, sit in silence, pray to discover whether you have any morals at all. If you think you have received an answer in the affirmative, emerge with humility and ask forgiveness.
We know the reasons you did this. We don’t think you know them yet, or at least are unwilling to face the truth of it.
I hope Phi Kap sues the sh!t out of them.
Anyone else see the irony in the New York Times reporting on made-up news?
The only diff between the Rolling Stone and the NYT is.................
............................
I’m thinking, I’m thinking.............
“The report ... said the magazine failed to engage in basic, even routine journalistic practice to verify details of the ordeal ... described to the articles author, Sabrina Rubin Erdely. Jann S. Wenner, the publisher of Rolling Stone ... said ... that Ms. Erdely would continue to write for the magazine”
Yeah, that’ll DEFINITELY enhance RS’s future credibility, you know, retaining a writer who failed to engage in basic, even routine journalistic practice. But, hey, maybe that’s pretty much the standard for RS “journalism” anyway, so there’s nothing unusual enough here to warranty firing the “journalist”.
The reporter should receive the same sentence that the rapist would have received.
Well come on man, if we didn’t have false accusations of rape on College campuses then how can we push feminism and stuff?
Like Ray Donovan said, “fine. now where do I go to get my reputation back?” Rolling Stone should be hit by a multi-million dollar lawsuit as well as the lying female dog who promoted the story in the first place
