Lucille Balls hometown, just outside Jamestown in western New York, erected a life-size statue to honor the beloved actress but now it has some explaining to do.
Many take issue with the sculptors unflattering depiction of the I Love Lucy star.
A self-described big fan of Lucys from Jamestown thinks the statue needs to be replaced with one befitting the comedy legend.
Lucille Ball was not only an amazing comedienne, but she was a stunning beauty. Her sense of humor only made her more beautiful, he said in an interview with Yahoo News. This statue looks nothing like the beautiful Lucy we all know. If for no other reason than that... the statue should go.
The Jamestown man, who wishes to remain anonymous, started a Facebook page titled We Love Lucy! Get Rid of this Statue.

Yes, watch her in some of her early film roles, especially film noir.

It’s clumsy, ungainly, ugly, amateurish, lacks any artistic value or reflection of talent, and doesn’t look anything like the subject it is meant to depict.

It looks like Imelda Marcos after the seal on her space suit, separating her from the vacuum of space, failed.

Even when she's doing a comedy act, she looks better than that!

It looks like someone had a statue of Minnie Pearl taking medicine and they decided to reuse it.

That is a bottle of Veda Vita Vegeman in her hand. The episode was Lucy Makes a Commercial. You should watch it. You will laugh your a** off. It was okay, but nothing tops the original bit, "Guzzlers Gin" performed by the King of Clowns Red Skelton.

I remember one where she was a temp secretary, I think
for Bob Commings who was setting up a betting parlour
and told her it was used cars or something.
She was quite the looker then.

Thank you. Lucille Ball’s comedic talent was such that people often lose sight of the fact that she was a drop dead, beautiful woman.

Smart business woman too, Star Trek probably wouldn’t have happened without her.
