If this is something you want to do, keep it to pure tech (related to Microsoft if you want), neutral but critical if it demands it. Not the type of fanboy nonsense those guy like to.

I see VanDeKoik is starting in on you, in the same way he started in the Apple/Mac thread. . . trying to make it what HE wants it to be, rather than what the users want it to be. He wants to always define the topics his way. Too bad.

The Windows Ping List threads will be defined by what the members of the list -- as an aggregate -- want them to be, not by individual members, however noisy or pushy they may be. It happens that I concur with VanDeKoik that sticking to tech topics is the wisest choice, but even that will be ultimately determined by the FReepers who join the threads and keep them going. I'm just another commenter in that regard.

Windows has a huge base of users, who percentage-wise are far less happy with Windows than Apple users are with Apple products; that's just a fact. So the opportunity for negativism on a Windows thread is pretty widespread, and I'm sure we'll have some threads that get rambunctious. Nevertheless I have hope that there won't be too many food fights and that nobody gets seriously injured. :)

I gave a suggestion. Not an edict. Good grief!
