Its getting real on The Walking Dead. There are so many questions left to be answered and only one 90-minute episode to go before the season ends.
Why did Michonne (Danai Gurira) coldcock Rick (Andrew Lincoln) mid-rant in front of their friends and half the town of Alexandria? Will Alexandria leader Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh) decide to exile Ricks entire crew after Ricks rant and that ominous warning she received from Gabriel (Seth Gilliam)? Isnt Maggie (Lauren Cohan) going to tell anyone what Gabriel said? Will Carol (Melissa McBride) kill Jessies (Alexandra Breckenridge) abusive husband Pete (Corey Brill) herself, after Rick simply beat him senseless? What happens to Glenn (Steven Yeun) after witnessing the death of Noah (Tyler James Williams)? Just who or what are Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Aaron (Ross Marquand) tracking? And where the hell is Morgan (Lennie James)?
Yes, theres a lot going down on The Walking Dead right now, so Variety turned to executive producer Gale Anne Hurd to discuss the pivotal events of last weeks episode and assess where things are at heading into what promises to be an epic fifth season finale.

Its multi-layered. Michonne like Rick, who at the moment is doing a fairly poor job of being a constable is charged with keeping the peace. Someone waving a gun around with innocent people standing nearby is probably a threat to that peace. Hes already pushed his son away, Deanna had no impact, so it was really the only option left to her. Did she do that because shes embraced Deannas approach? Or is she doing it to protect Rick from himself? Or a little of both?
Walking Dead ping!
Please let me know if you'd like on or off The Walking Dead ping list.
I guess I am just too squeamish.
Years ago I stopped watching CSI (when there was only one) due to the gross and disgusting things they showed on screen during the show.
had to mark Grimm off the lest the other day, same reason. I have some NCIS episodes that have come close to the line, but it isn’t every episode.
I tried to watch TWD and had the same problem.
It seems this is a trend and, frankly, I don’t get it.
I can’t believe its the finale already..
I think Michonne was saving Rick but not sure exactly...W D sure keeps you guessing..will miss seeing the show...
I watch each episode.
She did it to protect Rick and also I believe to protect the hope of Alexandria from Rick which is pretty thin to being with given how weak and cowardly they really are.
That surprise cast member is most likely the one who is going to be dead.
I will probably watch it but this present half season has been slow dragging cumbersome and has made characters I felt were good nd metaphorical sense become somewhat less so. The survivors has never h seem overly bright but at present it seems the IQ dipping down into the Democrat Party primary level
Which main character is going to die tonight?
Have you seen the spoilers, lol?
In before the “I haven’t watched TV or left my house since 1963” crowd!
LOL
I think she gave him the smackdown for OPSEC’s sake.
Never give too much inside info away, even if it’s for immediate comfort. I think Michonne wanted Alexandria to be “the resting place” but it wasn’t much better than Woodbury.
And they are going to be dealing with a Her Thighness mourning her little a’hole.
Cue the bugout that won’t happen.
Instead,I smell a big takeover attempt tomorrow night.(See the preview of Carol ready to fish gut Jessis’s hubby?)
In these scenarios, you don’t win some, without losing some. We’re going to lose a hero or 2 (or the cliffhangers will amek us think we lost them...)
Yes. Not exactly what I was expecting, but I think maybe I understand what Michael Cudlitz was saying. LOL!
I’m not a fan of the goopy, slurpy flesh noises either. Just think it is employing a large special effects department and putting corn syrup to good use! I got caught up in the ‘simple survival vs trying to stay civilized’ aspect of the situation the characters are in.
LOL, I know...unexpected.
The writing has been uneven the last several seasons. Still, more good episodes than bad IMO.
Spoiler alert: Somebody is going to die.
Ok I could be wrong but my theory is that Michonne, since she is Rick’s right hand person. I feel right after the HRC wanna be stated about exiling Rick. Michonne perhaps felt that it was better to knock him out in front of Deanna to show her who her alliance is with BUT also keeps her inside Alexandria to protect “HER FAMILY” (Rick’s group) from being kicked out.
With Darrell hanging out with the gay guys, its obvious.... He’s coming out! Lol!
