I guess I am just too squeamish.
Years ago I stopped watching CSI (when there was only one) due to the gross and disgusting things they showed on screen during the show.
had to mark Grimm off the lest the other day, same reason. I have some NCIS episodes that have come close to the line, but it isn’t every episode.
I tried to watch TWD and had the same problem.
It seems this is a trend and, frankly, I don’t get it.
I’m not a fan of the goopy, slurpy flesh noises either. Just think it is employing a large special effects department and putting corn syrup to good use! I got caught up in the ‘simple survival vs trying to stay civilized’ aspect of the situation the characters are in.
I can appreciate that. I think it’s more prevalent now than ever before because there are more cable shows, the language rules were changed a couple of years ago, and the technology of special effects are so much better.
I guess once you see how they do it, it’s not “real” anymore. I’ve done a ton of photoshop work, so I know how they put things in, and taken things out.
But I can understand how it could make some squirm.
I don’t like roller coasters. I KNOW they are safe. But I wouldn’t go on one.
