Lubitz started his training with the organization in 2008 and at one point worked as a flight attendant, the airline's Chief Executive Carsten Spohr confirmed Thursday.
While Lubitz had interrupted his training at some point for several months the airline would not specify why Spohr said that was not unusual and that the young German was re-evaluated before his training resumed. He passed all his tests.

Interesting point. He did spend several months or possibly more in the US (in Arizona, I believe) qualifying for some other certificate, so perhaps he came and went on his job.
Arizona is where Lufthansa and most other European and Asian airlines trains much of their pilots.
Most probable scenario is that he locked the Pilot out of the cockpit, set the autopilot on 100 ft AGL (which would certainly crash the plane flying in the Alps) and then killed himself.
It’s unlikely he was alive when the plane hit the ground.
Authorities stated that pilot Lubitz was ‘breathing normally’ the entire time to the point of impact.
I’ve wondered if he was homosexual. No woman was ever mentioned in any article about him plus one photo of him was taken in San Francisco-The Golden Gate Bridge was in the background. Vague but possible.
The fact that they won’t tell us his religion tells us a lot.
I read one report that said they have determined that he set the autopilot to 100 feet (it’s lowest setting). If that is indeed true, there is no way this was an accident. Also, I doubt it’s terrorism for two reasons. The first is he has a non islamic name. My understanding of the conversion to Islam is that you have to take an Islamic name. The other reason is that if it was terrorism, the whole point of terrorism is to let people know you are committing atrocities in the name of your cause. In other words, on the voice recorder he would have been yelling ‘Allah Akbar’ or some group would have come out and taken credit for it.
This is indeed a very strange story.
They said his girlfriend traveled to the site before she found out the truth, but he really looks like a Nancy boy.
It seems many suicidal people these days are so filled with hate that they want to take others with them.
why do you say this?
Officials said his breathing could be heard until the moment of impact.
Thanks I did not see that article.
They heard him breathing all the way to the end (when the passengers started screaming).
DRUDGE article citing depression is a timeline report with additional info inserts, by The Guardian, I think, is the source, or UK paper.
It quotes a mom of a friend and a tweet by another friend who say he was depressed, the tweet says he took SIX MONTHS off in 2009, from flight training because he was depressed.
There is talk that naturally airlines are very on edge about depression and pilots may not fly when they report it or are under treatment for it, therefore, pilots are reluctant to report it, or maybe deal with treating it.
Why would he be more likely to kill an entire plane full of people if he was gay? I don’t think he was, but even if he had been gay, that wouldn’t have had anything to do with it. Gays are the top of the heap now, they get preference in everything, and certainly he wouldn’t have felt that he had to take down a plane to express his grievances.
He was either an Islamist or so crazy that it didn’t make a difference. And looking at his photo, I’m thinking that he was probably at least part Turk or Algerian (the family lived in Marseilles) and may have “rediscovered his roots.”
You take an Arab name if you convert, but you don’t have to use it in public. One of the reasons Obama’s captive press has always reported the crazy Muslim-convert would be terrorists with their normal American names is that this is how it is covered up. You think he was Andy, and then you find out that his Muslim name was Abdullah.
Investigators say he was alive at the time of impact. They could hear his breathing as the plane descended into the mountain.
2009 was six years ago. Supposedly they reexamined him before he was admitted into the program again, and there hasn’t been a problem since then. Except for the fact that he had very few flying hours, and seems to have spent a fair amount of time in the US studying for a certificate here (which he received).
A 28 year-old? You forgot the /s
Even if we say he might have been an islamo fascist (which I think if he had a muslim name it would have come out by now), you still can’t get beyond the second point. The whole idea of terrorism is to let the world know why you’re doing what you’re doing, i.e. no yelling of Allah Akbar and no group taking credit for planning and doing the attack, no video has turned up of him in a headscarf with an AK-47 by his side filming his last words etc... If it was terrorism, we would know by now. This isn’t the Obama admin running the investigation trying to cover it up, like at Fort Hood. Even though they tried to cover it up, we still knew right away that Major Nidal did it for Islamo Fascist terrorism.
I know, but that is the information according to the DRUDGE article. Did you hear on FOX earlier, that he also trained in Arizona 4 years ago?
