It has been stated publicly many times that Mrs. Bill Clinton used a private email server based in her Chappaqua house instead of a secure government server. Information about what is on it now shows it running Outlook from a Microsoft Exchange 2010 server.
This article provides more technical details concerning the account and what some of its vulnerabilities appear to be.
Many technical details are provided in the article, which is a bit on the dry side. More interesting are the comments by readers following it.
The article is at:

yes, she would be that stupid.
Gosh this story is worse than trying to clean up all the cat fur in my house. Each time I think it’s all gone another fluff drift’s by. I’ll bet the Clinton team is sweating bullets.
The article notes several vulnerabilities and possible hacks -that have been well-documented for years now. It even points out one very simple exploit that is easily initiated, if one were so inclined.
Not that they or anyone would suggest that, of course.
Mrs. Bill kept droning on in her Public Announcement that her personal, private server was Totally Secure. While the article takes no position on her politically, it is painfully obvious when reading it that the woman has NO CLUE what “secure” means as far as computers and emails are concerned.
I agree with many others that her emails were most assuredly compromised within hours of her setting up her account(s), and do not doubt for a moment that the No Such Agency personnel were able to and indeed did gather copies of all messages through there on a live feed and on a continual basis for years.
So! She lied again.
If we can’t trust Hillary,
Huma and the Moslem Brotherhood,
who can we trust. [/s is this really necessary}
With Huma’s connections with them MB I don’t doubt this email was set up so the muslims COULD hack it. If she was to get caught she’d simply say she didn’t know it wasn’t secure. The Clintons get away with everything because the republicans won’t go after them full force.
Don’t just talk about it. We want to have ALL of Hillary’s emails during and after the murders in Benghazi.
Hiliary, the old hag, What a tool, a very dull one at that.
Confirmation that there are still supposedly "smart" people who cling to the notion that she is better than anything the right has to offer.
The Clintons are Law-Less because Republican “leaders” are BALL-LESS!!
While the article takes no position on her politically, it is painfully obvious when reading it that the woman has NO CLUE what secure means as far as computers and emails are concerned.
To Hillary Clinton, secure means she has full control of them does not have to let Republicans, oversight committees or the American people see them
If the Russians , Iranians, Chinese, North Koreans and any enemy of the United Sates has them, no problem.

curiouser and curiouser.
Email email who’s got the email?
And IF the royal SHE actually had the server at her house in Chappaqua, AND she removed all the personal emails - why not hand it over?
Can SOMEONE please, PLEASE, get that harridan into an orange jump suit?
RFN? (that’s RFQ for my friends south and west of the Potomac).
Isn’t Chappaqua in New York?
Suspicion: the original server was at Clinton’s house. That server is now in the Twilight Zone somewhere and has been replaced with this new server.
I tried clintonemail.com myself when this first broke and was greeted with a blank screen. Looking at the HTML, the page was a do nothing page.
To have it Colo’d within the physical control of someone else is just insane on her part. Nothing good could come from that for her. If I were managing her technical operations, secrecy being the highest priority for this server, I would want physical control/custody of it. I sure as hell wouldn’t want it sitting in a rented spot in someone’s data-center somewhere. That’s just begging for trouble like this!
NSA likely intercepted the emails when they were sent and before they arrived on the server, so it was not necessary to hack the server itself.
