The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you. This thread is non-political, although you will find that most here are conservative folks.

No matter what, you won’t be flamed and the only dumb question is the one that isn’t asked. It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread. Planting, Harvest to Table(recipes)preserving, good living - there is no telling where it will go and... that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us!

Yes, we are more careful now, after several zone 5 failures the first couple of years.

I saw a squash that is supposed to taste good dehydrated, that I am thinking of getting this year from Baker’s Creek.

I am going to try to grow zukes in a pot. Corcubits have been non productive. I have found a soil treatment product that is supposed to be good for some of the issues that I suspect we might have, but I think I’ll just try the pots this year.

Thanks for all the pictures. It’s all looking good. I got some stuff done outdoors too. Have a tentative garden plan. Added Sorghum to the list of crops to try for the first time.

Thanks for posting these from Eric. Those big round logs are just about the same size as the logs that I have sitting around to use for chair, or something to put pots on to save my back.

LOL never saw white ones before. Well we do have some green tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils about an inch above ground now that our snow is gone.

Thanks for the update. Good to hear that he’s gaining some weight. That picture reminds me of my brother, when he had severe pancreatitis.

Excellent! I've learned something new. Thank you! I've been reading up on TMV. Been working to stay safe and keep the tools and such separate. Had no clue bout the milk 'cure'.

Since i am a smoker of cigarettes, I have been extra cautious, especially sine I was also working retail.
The diary wash goes back a few years, to render the tobacco mosiac virus (TMV) inert, maybe into the 70's,
but never had a plant returned, nor contracted the TMV
I have used full milk and 2 % milk as anti-virus agent. No difference but not wiped off, just eventually dry during gardening persuits.
