After years of blocking U.N. efforts to pressure Israelis and Palestinians into accepting a lasting two-state solution, the United States is edging closer toward supporting a U.N. Security Council resolution that would call for the resumption of political talks to conclude a final peace settlement, according to Western diplomats.
The move follows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus decisive re-election Tuesday after the incumbent publicly abandoned his commitment to negotiate a Palestinian state the basis of more than 20 years of U.S. diplomatic efforts and promised to continue the construction of settlements on occupied territory. The development also reflects deepening pessimism over the prospect of U.S.-brokered negotiations delivering peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
Shortly before this weeks election, the United States informed its diplomatic partners that it would hold off any moves in the U.N. Security Council designed to put Israel on the spot at the United Nations in the event that Netanyahus challenger, Isaac Herzog, won the election. But U.S. officials signaled a willingness to consider a U.N. resolution in the event that Netanyahu was re-elected and formed a coalition government opposed to peace talks. The United States has not yet circulated a draft, but diplomats say Washington has set some red lines and is unwilling to agree to set a fixed deadline for political talks to conclude.

Why would Bibi be more open to talks with an entity that is even more anti-Semitic than Obama?
I would suspect that Israel will tell His Arrogance, Kerry-Heinz and the UN to collectively “go p!ss up a rope”.
scary
If the USA goes forward with obamma’s traitor behavior, Bibi will attack Iran, before they get anywhere near giving land to mooselimbs in the heart of their nation. then what the un does will no matter, ww3 will be on..If america turns its back on Israel God will kill America, not that we are not well on our way already..
With a pen and a phone.....
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Is there any antiSemitic act the White Mosque
would not do?
The EXEMPT in Congress should demand the US
accept Jerusalem the capitol of Israel, although
that would upset the First Moslem Psychopath Impostor.
It looks like Netanyahu is going back to negotiations. And that’s not a bad thing, because it will take the pressure off Israel from stuff like is mentioned in the above article ...

After Elections, Netanyahu Loyalist Says Israel Delighted to Renew Palestinian Talks [Israel]
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3269421/posts
Israels Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tzachi Hanegbi (Likud) said yesterday in an interview that the new government is willing to return to the negotiation table with the Palestinians.
We would be delighted to renew the negotiations, Hanegbi said in an interview with the Israel Project. We believe it is in the interest of both people the Israeli and the Palestinian to have a dialogue; to discuss our disputes; to try and find [a] common denominator in the issues that are so crucial to both people.
Hanegbi, a Netanyahu loyalist, also said that the new government will begin an intense effort to renew the trust between the United States and Israel.
We will make an effort, a very, very intimate and intense effort to renew the trust between the governments, said the deputy foreign minister. It is essential for the security of Israel. It is essential for the survival of the state of Israel.
Hanegbis words are significant in light of Netanyahus vocal opposition this week to the establishment of a Palestinian state. The hostility of the Obama Administration towards Netanyahu was also widely reported in the weeks leading up the Israeli election.
WELL ... I do know that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that there would NEVER be Palestinian State on his watch, if he was re-elected as Prime Minister. And that was a DRAMATIC change of policy by Netanyahu, given just hours before the election started!
Perhaps what Netanyahu intends to do now is simply TALK ... and never agree to a state ... LOL ...
He is an infant, an infant with no adult supervision who does whatever the hell he wants.
Yep. Thanks to the GOPe who seem to be ‘in their cups’ and oblivious.
This may finally force the Israelis to do what they should have done decades ago. Respond to Paleo attacks not with endless counterattacks, but expulsion.
That is, Israel takes control over the Gaza border with Egypt and the West Bank border with Jordan. Then any Paleo who commits an act of terrorism or violence, *and* their family, are expelled from Israel forever.
Israel can then extend these expulsions to those who advocate violence and even hate. Pretty soon this would cull the numbers of the most violent.
Most of this article describes various proposed discussions under the UN banner. Talk is cheap. The danger here is that the UN...with obama’s approval...will attempt to FORCE a two state solution on Israel. Then anything can happen including a setup for biblical end times. Imagine blue helmets from various nations squaring off with the IDF. Armageddon literally.
Willing to bet 0’s going to try to bring a peace treaty into the picture pretty soon to begin the tribulation period and the rise of the 12th Mahdi
This will be done. The days of Muslims dwelling in the Land of Israel are just about over. It would be better for them to sell their properties now and make a tidy profit and leave in style. If not, they will be driven from Israel in disgrace. A new home in the wastelands of Islam awaits them. And as a bonus they can take the disassembled mosques they love so much with them. I’m sure the moon god will be happy to see them rebuilt in their native land. Maybe he’ll appear to them in a big sandstorm.
Yes. Send them all to Arab lands. Now.
Yes. No more murderers suckling on the land of Milk and Honey, Israel’s OR ours.
Obama’s Plan 9 from his Brain ,still try to screw Israel
There will be no peace until the Prince of Peace returns. However, bad times will come before that.
