In early versions of a March 15 story about a man being charged in the shooting of two police officers in Ferguson, Missouri, The Associated Press erroneously reported that St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch said the defendant used a 40 mm gun in the attack. He said it was a .40-caliber gun.

Funny story, but another example of the messes we get into limping along half metric and half standard.

I think we got the gist of it, you idiots.
We know the difference between a 40mm and a .40 round.
One is a grenade the other is a much tinier piece of lead, sometimes encased in a jacket.
Not sure why you’d bother with a correction.
Maybe you should have said the 40mm was shot from a clip just to put a cherry on it.

A .40 at 100+ yards?
Three shots, two hits?
Hmmm...

Darn good shooting. Though if you fire into a group, you’re likely to hit somebody.
To: Citizen Zed
Attention would be journalists like this Federal News Radio dummy: there is a huge difference in size between the 40mm L70 Bofors cannon round (40×364mmR) or 40mm high velocity grenade round (40x53mmSR) and the .40 S&W (10×22mm) pistol round. SIZE DOES MATTER.
To: MeshugeMikey
Dam if you got shot in the face with a 40mm.. your wouldn't have a head let alone a face left
