Have a wonderful weekend!
The maintenance man took the bananas before they were fully ripe. Grrrrr.
Oh no.
It has been raining here for the last few days and the forecast for the next week or so includes rain or a chance of rain. Mrs. RD and I bought a new car on Monday. A 2015 Ford Focus with EcoBoost (fancy name for a Turbocharger - to help the small engine have some power). It is for her 65 mile round trip to work. It replaces an aging 2002 Buick. She loves her new car. I have driven it once to the grocery store and it is nice, but has a very complicated computer driven instrument cluster. She is still reading the instruction manual. Some day we may understand all the features it offers.
My English peas are up!
Tall Telephone, Burpee Perfection and Little Marvel.
They’re a week late, but now that they’re up I hope they’ll catch up soon. I need to get them picked before the hot and humid days (and nights) start, around the mid to end of May.
I’m transplanting all my broccoli and lettuce this weekend into their permanent beds.
Here in west Michigan it been glorious, in the low 50’s all week and plenty of sunshine. A lot of the snow is gone.
Hubby found this link and I wanted to share it, for those who would like to try beekeeping, a truly amazing breakthrough in beekeeping. It was a recent news story on yahoo this week. It’s a hive box with a built in extraction system. You don’t have to open the hive to get the honey, just open a spigot and put a jar underneath. Really amazing. It’s at www.honeyflow.com
