Better late than never :)
Hope Mr S is continuing to feel better.
I get to go car shopping. Hubby took my car to work a few weekends ago (on a Sat) since it was snowing & my car handles better than his little truck. On the way home, he hit ice and my car lost the fight with the guardrail. He was ok, which is the most important thing. No other cars involved. We only carried liability, since I had paid it off 4 years ago. Airbag deployed. First place we took it to didn’t look at it for 2 weeks...so we took it to a new place. $4700. More than the car is worth, so no go. :(
Oh that is terrible! When oldest son hit a pole a couple of years ago the total was about the same. Luckily his insurance got it BUT a couple of months later the transmission went and that was another $2500.
That came out of his, and my, pocket, LOL!
Cars are dang expensive anymore!
So glad your husband was not hurt!! So it sat there at the shop for two weeks? Wow! Talk about bad service! I hate car shopping. Our jeep is paid off in four months and I hope we can keep it on the road as long as possible!
Mr S doing good, but the shopping trip to Sam’s Club after he got out of the hospital took too much out of him. We should have gone straight home afterwards!
Good morning n’@!
Glad to hear that hubby wasn’t hurt-cars can be replaced! Car shopping is NEVER fun (for me). I dread it—my DH makes so many “trips” to look, test drive, etc and then because he doesn’t act quickly enough we “lose” the car he “found” and have to start over. For us it’s like the moon and stars must align. Good luck...hope you find some you like asap!
Sorry to hear about your cars’ misfortune. I feel your pain. I bent the frame on my first beloved car, a dodge dart, when sliding into a wall coming off a ramp into the ‘burg to pick up hubby one icy winter many years ago. I’m glad your hubby was safe.
