This is a compilation of fast gun disarm performed from multiple positions using multiple methods

My son showed me how to do this. So many ignorant people do not understand why the police do not let anyone who is armed with a gun or knife anywhere near them. People are sooooo stupid.
That’s the second mistake - letting anyone get too close. By close, I mean with in leaping distance.
The first mistake is not shooting them in the first place.
The first SoB I don’t know inside my home I see, I won’t be holding them at bay and questioning them.
My first words to my lawyer will be “I genuinely feared for my life.....blah, blah.....he dead”.
It's also why police don't let people who are "unarmed" close to them. There are police training videos which show just how fast someone can close a distance of even 30 or 40 feet and attempt to take your gun. They are very eye-opening. It's best to keep some kind of cover between you and the bad guy.
Actually the easiest way to disarm anyone is to show them the sign:
GUN FREE ZONE
Works nevery time.
While this training in necessary, the video did not include “gangster style” holding of the firearm. It is not much different but the angles do change so it does need to be practiced.
Entertaining, but not realistic.
The gunman uses the same position throughout, either one or two handed at face height, full arm extension. This is the best gun arm position beyond 10’ in distance, but closer than that it has problems. Within 10’, hip height close to the body is much better, aiming for center of mass, not head, in either case.
Likewise, with a glance you can probably tell if they are capable with a gun. Of course, if they are holding their gun “gangster style”, sideways, they are idiots. But if they are brandishing at your center of mass or belt buckle, don’t even think about it.
True...and reminds me of something I recently read, author forgotten, but to the effect: "overheard in the dojo---"You're not attacking me correctly".
Meaning: "I can't show off my super-duper ninja spiderlock cobra defanging crap unless you make it easy for me".
Never, ever bring an MMA war story to a gunfight.
I heard 21ft in 1.5 to 2 seconds. You have to practice regularly to hit you target in under 2 seconds from concealment. So practice.
Practice all you want but, closing that distance, “recognizing” the immediate danger and acting on it all have a time “arc”.
