The Grateful Dead’s three-night farewell shows don’t seem like they’re shaping up to be a great time for the band’s most dedicated followers. Over the weekend, we reported that tickets for the event were being scalped for as high at $10,000. And now, Chicago’s police and fire departments have decided not to let Deadheads camp out or park overnight on the land in front of Soldier Field. Earlier this year, a petition circulated around asking the venue to waive their usual policy. “We took this seriously and did not want to dismiss it,” Luca Serra, a spokesman for Soldier Field, told The Chicago Tribune. “All of us came to the conclusion that this is an exceptional event, but that does not exempt the fact we put safety first … And staying overnight can be a recipe for the unforeseen. The venue expects around 60,000 – 70,000 people will be in attendance each night.
There are a lot of concerts (audio with video) from the Fillmore and elsewhere (more 70s than 60s) on youtube these days.
music vault has broken down their archives sometimes by genre, sometimes by artist. And some of the uploads have been broken down by song, whereas there is also a link for the full shows. Often several bands’ sets from the same night are even posted.

I have to be careful about nostagiac youtube ... I waste an entire day
Sounds like and issue for Rand Paul. They are his people.
Aye, that can be a problem. However, if you head to the tube instead of tv/cable, it can be an entertaining couple of hours.
True story.
An old hippie dude told me, about 1972, that all the hippies were dead.
I said, “Far out”.
It’s easier than that. Hippies can’t stand death metal:

Maybe he meant to say that all of the Dead were hippies.
Do they let Bears tailgaters spend the night?

Whoa, hope there are no police around because the dog with the microphone is sure to be shot for an offense against the eyes!!!!!
Back in the day, she was a definite crush, LOL.
I would categorize Slayer as Thrash Metal.
Very nice, thanks!
The Annie Lennox version of Marley’s Waiting In Vain is absolutely beautiful.
Thanks! I hadn’t heard it and you just introduced me to something, as you say, absolutely beautiful. It was added to a lot of my playlists today.
I’ll be thanking you for years to come, God willing.
My pleasure. I’m very pleased you enjoy it.
Best,
