Matt DeHart, a former American soldier who sought asylum in Canada claiming torture by U.S. agents probing Anonymous hackers and WikiLeaks, was taken from his Ontario prison cell Sunday morning and delivered to U.S. agents at the border.
Mr. DeHart, 30, was allowed to make a quick phone call en route to his parents, who are living in Toronto facing their own removal order, said his father, Paul.
He was peaceful and in good health, Paul DeHart said in an interview but the family remains deeply worried.
We are concerned about Matts safety as he transits, he said. We said a prayer together on the phone and gave him into Gods hands for protection.
His claim for refugee protection in Canada, on the basis of his torture claim, was rejected last month by the Immigration and Refugee Board.
I cannot imagine any life in a country which has already tortured me, he told the National Post last month. Am I now to be given into the hands of my torturers?

“Mr. DeHart, 30, was allowed to make a quick phone call en route to his parents........”
Isn’t that speshull?! They took him from prison and then he was enroute to his parents. Right? No?
On the third reading I got it. Just lousey writing. He actually was allowed to make a phone call to his parents while enroute to the border.
This reporter apparently won his journalism diploma off a punchboard. Anybody remember those?
another story talks about child porn charges
I no longer believe any story, particularly a story that has someone targeted by the administration or any regulatory agency, that all of a sudden has someone arrested for child porn on the computer.
Easy evidence to plant, and immediately makes the target a pariah, without due process.
This is the sort of thing leftists have done worldwide to denounce people.
Don’t jump to conclusions. The government and its minions lie.
Poor baby...Obviously didn’t read the democrat playbook....they’ll give you all the food you can eat, a free cell phone, a place to live, free health care and whatever else you need.......torture???? maybe his welfare check was held up for a day by a snowfall or something.
