A good man, indeed. Hopefully, his legacy will be larger than South Coast Plaza, the conspicuous consumption capital of the world.
I have no beef with Mr. Segerstrom for it’s development, my hat is off to his accomplishment. On the other hand, the level of pretentiousness seen at S.C.Plaza is both laughable, and repulsive. I am happy for achievers, who have a fine place to spend their well deserved riches, but the place just crawls with wannabes whose greatest joy in life is to look down their collective noses, at the common folk.

Understood. But look at it this way,
all those “pretentious wanna-bes” are being seperated from their accumulated “riches” ...indeed, at a rapid rate, given the hyper=inflated prices at many of the South Coast Plaza stores.

It didn’t start out that way. I used to pick up a few extra bucks registering voters at South Coast Plaza and I think the big anchor store was Sears.
