You have some time on your hands Mr. Hydrazine I see. While it is not for me to judge the importance of any post, I must add that you should make a nice meal of mushrooms, oregano, and sour cream; it would have been a better usage of your time. I can give you the recipe if you wish. Cheers....

Oh nooooee....we’re doomed to a frozen death!

I think it will come close to making 2nd place -— if Lake Michigan cooperates and accelerates its surface freezing process.

Will the militia have to go back to the Ohio beaches to fight off the marauding, but polite, Canadian masses?

Back to Ontario! eh?

Oh, no! They already have a forward operating base south of my location. Abandon the state... retreat behind the river and blow the bridges.

Don;t worry — it’s not really that cold. These temperatures will be adjusted.

All I know is that, with three-plus-feet of snow on the ground and storms stacked up out to Seattle just waiting to clobber us some more (I’m in Western Mass), I’ve had just about all the “Global Warming” I can take.

Just yesterday I noticed that Burlington Bay, and actually about as far as I could see out onto Lake Ontario from the Skyway (bridge from Hamilton to Burlington, ON over Burlington Bay / Hamilton Harbour) there was ice cover. I don’t recall ever seeing ice cover out there before in the 18 years I’ve lived here.

Just one week ago, the water was visibly open on Grand Traverse Bay, and where we can see every day out toward the Manitou Islands. We made jokes about how it looked like it wanted to freeze, and then it began to get more ice daily. Just yesterday, we could still see some sections of open water, today it appears to be frozen to the Manitou islands, and the Grand Traverse Bay has been officially designated as frozen over.

It's possible it will get close to last year, and even possible the cold will increase, hold and bring us a new record.

If I were a betting man, I'd say we won't even get to last years level, but we shall see.

Today that number has jumped to 76.6% based on yesterday's analysis due the recent cold the area has been receiving.

Date of last ice analysis:    02/18/2015

Great Lakes Total Ice Cover:       85.4%
2014 GL Maximum Ice Cover:    92.2%

I'm going to help out the Warmistas, because they might not have all their bases covered.

They have the "Summer Heat Is Global Warming", and "Global Warming May Trigger Winter Cooling", and certain other eventualities covered, but what about THESE?:

Was 1908 Tunguska Event In Siberia Caused By Global Warming?

19th Century Global Cooling From Mount Tambora And Krakatoa Eruptions Caused By Global Warming

There! I fixed it for them!
