A Valentine's Day cinema screening of Fifty Shades of Grey ended in chaos when three women were arrested for attacking a man.
Witnesses claim the bust-up started after the victim asked the "worse for the wear" women to quieten down during a viewing on Saturday evening.
Police then rushed to Grosvenor Cinema in Glasgow's west end where they arrested three women.
Cinema visitors also claimed the man had been glassed and that staff were forced to wipe blood from seats before the next screening of the film.

Put it this way: I wasn’t planning on seeing it before, and I’m certainly not planning on seeing it now.

Glassed? By three women? Is it related to being scissored? If by "related to" you mean "stabbed by," then yes.

The only thing worse than being glassed in Glasgow is being shanghaied in Shanghai!

I havent heard glass used as a verb until now.
I may have come across it in reading about the effects of atomic bombs on desert sand.
Or, how about the phrase "...his/her eyes glassed over...".
Okay, neither applies to the actions of one or more glass bottle wielding wenches in Glasgow.

"worse for the wear" women I like that descriptive, quite easy to conjure up what it means..........
No wonder they were so vicious, knowing no one would be interested in doing what the movie had going on.

*shrug* If they wanted to be flogged, they were certainly headed in the right direction.

Eyes can be "glassy" when someone is say, stoned.
But, yeah, agree with eyes being "glazed over", as in when listening to a boring person.
I've never heard the term being "glassed" as in having a bottle broken over your head though.
I'll try to work the phrase into a conversation this week and see if anyone notices.

Is it common for people to bring glass bottles into the theater in the UK?
In the event you want to "glass" someone but good.
