BYU Football Recruit Arrested On Sexual Assault, Drug Charges

A BYU football recruit is accused of sexually assaulting an alleged prostitute. Charles West of Coppell, Texas was arrested last week—two days after Signing Day. Police say West called a female escort to his family’s home, held a knife to her neck and demanded sexual favors. He is also charged with drug possession. West chose to play for the Cougars in October after receiving a dozen offers from other universities.

(Well, hey at least this guy got his assault stuff in before dawning a BYU football uniform...in the last game BYU played, a BYU player sucker-punched a Memphis player at the end of a double-overtime loss...and another player -- a Memphis player -- was using a helmet as a weapon...all while many other players were engaging in...how shall we call it..."non-football behavior"...'twas called the "scariest" brawl to break out in a college football bowl game since Houston & Hawaii 11 years earlier)

This guy should never be allowed to play a down of college football. We’ve got to start making the lessons very harsh. Otherwise, they’ll continue to act like wild animals.
