The Islamic State beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians over the weekend, propping the severed heads on the victims backs, a barbaric slaughter that led Reverend Franklin Graham to ask, Can you imagine the outcry if 21 Muslims had been beheaded by Christians?
Where is the universal condemnation by Muslim leaders around the world? he asked.

The next one is soon, isn’t it?
Is all the stuff supposed to happen during the time of those moons or after, or what?
How has it fallen out in the past?
The Bible says that God uses the moon and the heavens as signs to us (Luke, Acts, Joel, etc).
Also, the Jewish feasts are significant to Christians. Christ fulfilled the Spring feasts:
- He was crucified on Passover as the Lamb
- His body was laid in the grave on the feast of Unleavened Bread
- He was resurrected on First Fruits
- The Holy Spirit came at Pentecost
That leaves the remaining Fall Feasts, and I believe He will fulfill them.
We have the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles.
Anne Graham Lotz, Bill Graham's daughter, says she always marks her calendar with the Feast of Trumpets, because she believes the Rapture could occur at that time. It is a very interesting theory. No one knows exactly when the Feast of Trumpets comes each year, because per Jewish tradition, two witnesses must spot the new moon and then the Shofar is blown. There are a series of trumpets, and then the Last Trumpet blown during the festival.
She believes (and I agree with her), that Christ might have been alluding to this when he gave his Olivet discourse.
But, whatever His plans, I will await my Blessed Hope, and that is that I will be forever with the Lord. I'll see you then!!!
I count five there if I am not mistaken.
Never mind.
I just realized that one is a solar eclipse.
I have a cold and it’s affecting my thinking.......
Jewish tradition says that blood moons signify importance (or even calamity) to Israel, while solar eclipses signify importance or disaster to the entire world.
I hear ya, I just got over the flu.
No longer in print (I believe), but if you can find it, an excellent book is Franklin Graham’s autobiography, “Rebel With A Cause”. This man walks the walk, no doubt about it.
“Because our own faiths may have had shortcomings in distant history...”
No!! The Christians were involved in the Crusades only to defend themselves against the Muslim onslaught. Innate in Christian tenets is the fact that a person cannot be forced to “convert” to Christianity; it’s a decision in a person’s heart.
People who say that “a lot of people were killed in the name of Christianity” (referring to the Crusades) to disparage us are clueless. They need to learn history. There’s nothing wrong with people defending themselves. If only today’s Christians had the balls to do the same thing instead of following the path of least resistence. I am ashamed to say I am not as bold as I should be.
I’ve heard of that book.
Heck, just look at all out the outcry over those three Muzzies killed in North Carolina, by that atheist last week.
I would prefer to see their heads eaten by pigs.
Generational slip of our enemies memory should bear consequences .....
