By now, there have been so many banker-related suicides that it has become a moot point of i) tracking them all or ii) trying to find a pattern. And yet, one name continues to stand out: JPMorgan. The bank which has been most prominent among the list of "suicided" bankers notched one more casualty over the weekend when "a JPMorgan Chase & Co. employee strangled and stabbed his wife to death before turning the knife on himself, according to police who are treating the couples death in Bergen County, New Jersey as a murder-suicide."

Cougar was turning puma.
Glad it wasn’t just me who thinks it looks strange.
A sad story but if I were going to off myself, stabbing myself would be just above throwing myself into a wood chipper.
True enough.
Weird situation. This guy is making $60-90 grand?
That’s not enough to kill yourself over, and surely not enough to know enough to have someone else kill you over it.
How about this:
Young bankers don’t grow old.
They just lose their currency.
WTH is going on here?
He’d never pay off his student loans making that kind of money...that might be a little depressing.
You think a guy that looks like that could get a half decent looking gal if he wasn’t dammed rich? lol
Certainly a ‘trophy wife’.
What’s bad is that she wasn’t all that great looking, which means he was probably a 2nd rate banker.
Not a bad looking gal, probably was going to leave him.
Soros.
Right.
Maybe his wife found the guy at the next desk a little less depressed.
But stab yourself in the heart? I’d rather make a bad hedge bet.
Probably just did it for attention, then. ;)
I can think of lots easier ways to off yourself than with a knife.
That’s right.
Didn’t want to mess up the face either!
Who stabs themselves to death? Nobody. Nobody. Somebody else stabs you to death then wipes the knife clean and puts it in your hand.
Like the guy in Chicago a few years back who committed suicide by stabbing himself in the back...
29 times.
He also listed his goals - he was going to invent a new form of financial vehicle and become a billionaire, then he was going to write a series of best selling sci-fi books that would then be turned into a series of hit movies that he directed himself. Then he would become a model.
Seriously that's what he envisioned for himself. I'm guessing that things were not working out like he planned.
May as well cut your own throat; "And for our next act, a banker will strangle himself- WITH HIS OWN HANDS!"
Thanks for backing up my statement. Basically “almost” nobody stabs themselves to death.
Yes, it’s very rare, but possible. Alt rocker Elliot Smith apparently killed himself that way, and comedian Artie Lang tried but failed after stabbing himself in the chest a bunch of times.
