The reviews refer to the Wachowski brothers as “siblings” because one of them got Bruce Jennered.

I’m convinced The Matrix really was written by that lady that sued them. It’s the only one that is really any good, storywise.

Matrix I was somewhat entertaining in a “this is your brain on drugs” kind of way. Matrix II was crap. Matrix III was worse than crap.
The Wachowski brothers were mediocre hacks at best and that was before one of the Wachowski brothers decided to become a Wachowski sister.
Whoever it was in the movie studio that authorized them to spend $200,000,000 making another movie should be fired and made to repay the shareholders.

I’ve never figured out how the Wachowskis got such a reputation. Their movies look good, I’ll give them that, but they’re STUPID.

The movie is a trainwreck. If you don’t have time to get to the theater just drink a six pack of Red Bull and hold a blow drier up to each ear and you’ll get the gist of it.
I’m a fan of elaborate 3D computer generated imagery which is why I went to see it. There was lots of pretty stuff to look at including some nice hyperstereo scenes of Chicago’s skyline. In those terms I got my money’s worth, but it’s a shame what a good movie this could have been with some decent writing, direction and an rudimentary understanding of pacing. As it is this feels like an incoherent six hour story crammed into two hours. I’m still not sure whose side some of the characters were on - (does anyone know if the tattooed Asian chick was one of the bad guys?)
I left the theater wondering how the hell this thing ever got greenlighted and released.

If the “experts” hate it, I’ll probably love it. It usually goes that way. Some homosexual towel-crying wimpy sadsack story usually gets the “experts” loving a movie; e.g. Bridges Over Madison County.

I can’t say that I was impressed by the trailer. The plot seemed muddled.

A local reviewer here said that it is intentionally bad and not to be taken seriously. He said it should be seen on a level with the old “Flash Gordon” serials.

Sci-Fi is what it is.....I've been enamored with it my entire life beginning when I was purchasing the first run comics of all the super heroes back in the 50's and early 60's. and buying all the cheap paperbacks offered in the comics and other sources.
There is no such thing as "bad" sci-fi" just as there's no such thing as bad sex........
